This week the game falls one to the 14th spot in the listing, but is nonetheless an impressive showing given the intense competition from other titles across all genres.

LINUX SMAC EARLY LOOK
(30 May 2000, 9:22 EST) As first reported by Linux Games, three screenshots from the beta of the Linux port of SMAC has been posted on utter-macabre.com.

Furthermore, Loki Entertainment's Andrew Henderson sent LG a screenshot of the design workshop (for those who do not know, this is a SMAC innovation where the player can create new units utilizing a diverse range of technology), and LG' Crusader posted a couple pics from his own recent adventures on Planet. -DanQ
