HOSTED SITE
GAMELEAGUE
Tribes: One Game At A Time! [05.07 23:06 est | civ2] Tribe leaders and members, please read the rules for tribes. (Hit the help link after tribes) You can only play one tribe game at a time since the outcome of the first game may affect, or prevent the 2nd match-up from even happening. You need to send offical challenges to your opponents and to me, so I can know who is playing and set your status accordingly. Also, if you are challenged let me know if you accept, and try to only challenge 1 tribe at a time, multiple challenge acceptances can get messy!

Tourney in Two Weeks [05.06 15:32 est | civ2] We will have another blitz tourney two weeks from now. All settings will be the same as last week's Saturday Swiss II tourney. We will once again offer a prize to the winner. Check out the tourneys page for more information. Please sign up if you plan to attend.

Before You Complain... [05.04 22:43 est | all] Before you come to any of the admins with a dispute with another person ("he disputed my win!"), please, please, please actually talk to that person first. See why they're doing that and try to reach an agreement with them. I refuse to waste my time just relaying messages. If you have indeed talked to them and are unable to come to an agreement, then come to me and tell me what happened, why they won't agree, etc. And never, ever try to threaten me with leaving the league just because you're unhappy with a decision. If you do, I will call your bluff, delete your account and permanently ban you.

Chat Bug Fixed [05.01 22:39 est | all] There was an error in our chat script that made it impossible for members who have not given a real name to log in. The bug has been fixed now. Don't worry, if you have GameLeague will all protect your privacy, if you have not given us your real name it will show in the chat as "none_given". Thank you to ColdWizard for pointing out this bug.

HI-RES V2 COMING
(3 May 2000, 23:21 EST) The next incarnation of Tim Smith's Hi-Res MOD Pack, "Version 2", will be released exclusively here on Apolyton sometime tomorrow.

Bookmark this page to keep your eyes (and keyboards) peeled. :) -DanQ

HI-RES V2: EXCLUSIVE RELEASE
(4 May 2000, 10:11 EST) Apolyton CS is proud to exclusively release v2.4 of Tim Smith's Hi-Res MOD Pack this morning. It can be played on CivII version 2.x and/or with Multiplayer Gold Edition.

"HiRes can be installed as either as a graphics patch OR as a mod pack", documents the ReadMe included within. "As a graphics patch, HiRes will replace most of the original Microprose graphics without changing any other aspect of the game. If installed as a mod pack, HiRes makes some modest changes to the unit line up, giving a bit more detail to the development of aircraft and armored warfare. Optional sound files can be installed either way, including sounds for the new units found in the mod pack as well as replacements for some of the Microprose sound files". -DanQ

HI-RES VERSION 2, MO`PRI MAP AND THE VIKING AGE FOR MAC
(2 May 2000, 23:54 EST) First the BIG news: HiRes Version 2 is here! Yes, you heard it right! Smash sent me the latest Tim F. Smith creation and now I have the honor of passing it on to you! (check out the honorable mention in the Read Me "Appreciation" section! ;-) Go straight to the Mac Scenario section, do not pass GO...

While I'd hate to follow that announcement on stage, the Mac page features two other new additions. First we have the Mo'Pri Map, based on the online fantasy game Monarchy, created by Jon o Thicket, Cartographer, (you'll recognize him as JoT on the ACS Forum). Ya gotta love the shape this world! Second, Harlan Thompson's The Viking Age, Ver.2.0, has been converted for Mac by Mantis. From this day forward all boats will bear scary faces that breath fire on rickety AI rafts!

Our Civ worlds will never look the same again!! -macuser

HI-RES VER 2 ADDITIONAL UNIT FILES
(4 May 2000, 8:16 EST) I regret to say that the original HiRes ver.2 post lacked two units files: UNITS.PICT and UNITORIG.PICT. Go to unitpicts.sit if you downloaded prior to 3 May 00, 18:30 EST US time. The current HiRes file is complete. I performed penance last night by watching the KC Royals loose 14 to 5 to the Oakland A's. -macuser
