SMAC FOR MAC SCENARIO CONTEST! (18 April 2000, 7:55 EST) Aspyr is organizing a scenario contest. Taken for their latest newsletter
SMAC fans out there that have been creating their own scenarios, here's your chance to be a designer and have your scenario available to all that are ready for a NEW challenge. We will be accepting tiny to large world size scenarios until April 21. After that date Michael Rogers, President of Aspyr, will check out all submitted scenarios and choose the winner. Entries will be judged on creativity, ingenuity and good old-fashioned entertainment. The judge is a "unique" individual so anything is possible and it's tough to gauge what exactly will catch his eye. The winner will receive an Aspyr prize pack, which includes some Aspyr goodies, a copy of Alien Crossfire (when it is released) and an Aspyr game of his or her choice. That's not all, the winning scenario will be posted on our new web site for all to download and enjoy.
A few rules: -You must be an eNewsletter subscriber to win. -The scenario must be YOUR original work (please no plagarizing of scenarios). -Scenarios may be based on tiny to large size planets (no custom sizes will be accepted).
What are you waiting for? Start up SMAC and let those creative juices flow. To take a peek at some scenarios and some other cool stuff that other folks have done, visit the following sites: http://www.crosswinds.net/~smaccf http://xenofungus.cjb.net

Scenario #101 is the first Test of Time scenario we've reviewed, Mick Uhl's "Time Threat Paradox" scenario. Thanks to Cam Hills and William Keenan, our dedicated editors, who've made this success a reality.

Civilization Fanatics Center 04/19/2000 Civ2 Multiplayer List Update. All player profiles are categorized by region and each region now has its own page. As usual, we have a few more new players since last update. The Civilization community has been very quiet recently... I don't see any Civ3 news anywhere.
04/15/2000 A New Design! The current design uses less graphics and tables; loading should be a bit faster as a result. More importantly, this new design is dynamic in nature, which means I could alter the appearance of the entire site easily, just by changing a few files! For best result, please use Internet Explorer 5.0 or Netscape at 1024x768 screen resolution.
