PART I
What follows, is, the questions submitted by the Apolyton posters, and Ming's answers to those that already haven’t been answered.
Apolyton Asks, Ming answers:
BeBro: Who invented the term "Mingapulco"?
Ming: You could probably just post this question in the OTF and get a better response. I really don’t remember who was the first... but it sure stuck. Some people even set up some Mingapulco websites... they were hilarious.
ColdWizard: Which forum is the most difficult to moderate?
Ming: Without a doubt, the OTF. The rest are easy. But I must admit, the Civ III general forum was a close second there for a while. It has now settled down, but I do watch that the most after the OTF.
ColdWizard: Which forum do you prefer to post at while "Off-Duty"? Why?
Ming: For a long time, it was Planet ACOL. It was the exact opposite of Apolyton, and I could pretty much post what I wanted. Now, it has to be Counterglow. I really can have fun and just relax, besides calling me a bastard all the time, they have made me feel welcome.
BeBro: How much time do you spend at Apolyton, per day?
Ming: A lot... but not as much as it might appear. I always leave Apolyton up in the background, and check in whenever I get a chance. It only takes a couple of minutes most of the time to check through the forums and see if there is a problem. I live on my computer at work, so I check in frequently. At home, it’s pretty much the same thing...
Zopperoni: Has Apolyton's influence on your life increased/decreased/stayed the same over the years?
Ming: Pretty much the same. Once I got addicted to Civ Forums, I spend most of my Internet time visiting them. I’m a gamer, so a large part of my free time has always been allocated for that.
Zopperoni: Where would you be without Apolyton?
Ming: Probably at CivFanatics, or some other Civ site. And when my addiction for Civ ends (if ever) it will be at some site for whatever game comes next.
Zopperoni: Have you ever thought of travelling around the world, meeting other Apolytoners?
Ming: Yeah... it would be fun. I have met Winston, Adam Smith, Xin Yu, GP, -jrabbit, and obviously Rah. And they have all been great guys. Since we have a built in subject to talk about, it’s never boring. I still have a standing offer to anybody that passes through Chicago... just let me know, and if I can work it in, I’ll buy them the first drink.
