PART II
Chris62: MTG
Ming: He's a lot like I am... old time gamer... old time poster... and mature... and secure with who he is.
When we did the April fools joke, we were looking for somebody believable. MtG was respected (I used to be too) so he was the perfect shill. Then the more we talked about it, the more I realized that he really would be perfect.
Chris62: Your styles contrast, yet work well together.
Ming: Yes, our styles our different, but I knew that would be the case. You can say that I'm the good cop and he's the bad cop. I used to be the bad cop, but I've mellowed some. (ONLY IN COMPARISON
)
Chris62: Let's touch on moderating, how do you feel when you need to ban someone?
Ming: Most of the time, I hate doing it. Especially for spamming and fun things... but the real jerks... I have no problems, and really feel like I'm earning my pay (which is nothing).
Chirs62: What is your best or should I say favorite memory of the OT? Many mention the April's fools event and area 25, do you have a fav?
Ming: The ones you mention are up there, but my favorite was the elections... and I got elected because GP stuffed the ballot box for me (I didn't know)... I was in a state of shock, because that was the early days of being a mod, and I wasn't well liked at the time (well, my authority wasn't liked) It was kind of like a Chicago election!
Chris62: Anyone else you'd like to mention?
Ming: Jrabbit.
Chris62: Jrabbit is a new name to me.
Ming: He's an old college buddy of Rah and me... we were all "professional pinball association" members (seriously). I've even won a tournament or two... but jrabbit is better.
We just recently sucked him into Civ... He's hooked and plays mp with us.
Chris62: What kind of prize money is involved with that, if any?
Ming: It was back in college that we played... a couple of hundred bucks or so was the prize money. Back then, it bought a lot of beer, in the mid-70's.
