[Inquisitor]
is this random or...?
[PeterAP]
that is the way we are playing this aspect the god only interacts with
you, but imagine if two gods argue...how would the two civilization react
towards eachother...
[PeterAP] It
is random to a certain degree, but what isnt, it will not simply be "you
are blessed" if you do well you are rewarded, you mess up you are punished
[PeterAP] Need
not worry the god will play an interesting role but will not play a die
hard role where he can change and destroy what you have done
[PeterAP] does
that help?
[Inquisitor] yeah...
[Inquisitor] you
said that your people get smarter...
[Inquisitor] will
there be some kind of background like for AC?
[PeterAP] in
general are you guys happy with what you are reading or are you sceptical,
this is important
[Inquisitor] my
favorite word for AP is promising :)
[Inquisitor] Peter,
what happened at the ECTS?
[Inquisitor] you
were there, weren't you?
[PeterAP] That
is what hope, as for the backround it comes along with the design, what
is most important for us is that the design is solid this is most important
the story will form in time and beoce all we hope
[PeterAP] Yes
we were at the ECTS, this is where we first met some distributors, it was
a great occasion for us to show are work and see how they would react
[Inquisitor] and
what was the reaction? :)
[PeterAP] It
was positive, the hardest thing is to prove that although you are new,
you can still have something good
[PeterAP] They
reacted well and the contacts have continued to progress
[Inquisitor] what
made you put the god in rather than just having rulers and non-existent
or less biased gods?
[Inquisitor] When
shall we see something new on the site?
[PeterAP]
As for the gods, it fit in very neatley in
our Fantasy ideal plus it presented something new, The site will be updated
this week
[PeterAP] We
are giving screens od our Motor, the main interface as well as units on
the screen
[Inquisitor] to
quote a question on the apolyton web site...Surely there will be an option
to skip controlling the battles? If there is, will having your side computer
controlled be a disadvantage? If it isn't, won't it be a bit unfair to
those who chose to fight every battle.?
[Inquisitor] the
3d aspect looks great!!
[PeterAP] ok
great question
[PeterAP] All
options will be present, if you want to watch the computer play so be it...in
our hopes no it will not be a dissadvantage...the IA we hope will be as
good, plus the tactical aspect means that you will need tactics, I have
never met a better computer then a good tactitien
[Inquisitor] oh
yes... the AI. will it be difficult? will it cheat?
[PeterAP] the
battles will be very cool; you will want to play them out, we hope
[Inquisitor] good
you go into a bit more detail on how the economics and political system
will work
[PeterAP] We
do not want the IA to cheat out prog. are trying to find a way to create
an IA which does nbto need to cheat, the difficulty will be chosed by the
player
[Inquisitor] good...
[Inquisitor] what
about the requirements? with the 3d part...
[PeterAP] the
economic system will be a closed economy, for the player it will be very
simple to handle, yet it will be a very complex system. If one civ is rich
it will ultimatly mean another is poor
[PeterAP] 166,
64mg
[Inquisitor] 3dfx
card?
[PeterAP] 4mg
video card
[Inquisitor] eek,
thankgod i bought a new computer
[PeterAP] not
necc. but it might be nicer
[Inquisitor] I
won't be buying this game for a while
[PeterAP] a
new computer is a good thing, and it's not expensive!!!!!
