Will you have scenarios on the game? And will the players be able to create
scenarios?
[PeterAP]
I just remembered it was today
[PeterAP] As
for scen. they will come in time for the meoment we are creating the game,
the specifics in how the story goes will come
[PeterAP] Ultimatly
we hope so
[Inquisitor] How
much modifiable is the game?
[PeterAP] Very
much as I said, the player should never play the same game twice, PS the
engine is completly randomized
[Inquisitor] I
mean, if someone will be able to modify the graphics, the rules, etc
[PeterAP] Ohhh...Well
I am not sure yet, I guess that to a certain extent, yes the rules will
be changable, depending on gameplay desired
[Inquisitor] On
civ2 techs and rules and city names where in txt files... in AP?
[Inquisitor] why
am I the only one asking questions? :)
[PeterAP] One
will be able to name the cities, other then that things have not gone that
far and this si something i guess we will soon decide
[Inquisitor] phew..
good
[Inquisitor] modification
is a really important part of a civ game...
[PeterAP] I
agree, It is good that you point this out and I promise to discuss this
very soon!
[Inquisitor] so,
how long have you been working on this?
[PeterAP] The
design, 6 month, the development, roughly 3
[Inquisitor] when
do you expect to finish it?
[Inquisitor] you're
in alpha now on not yet?
[PeterAP] 12
more months of development
[Inquisitor] What
platforms will it run under?
[Inquisitor] Will
you be releasing a playable demo at anytime?
[PeterAP] Yes
the alpha is almost ready, 31 of October
[Inquisitor] I'm
surprised at this early stage you guys are releasing any info on the game
at all...
[Inquisitor] but
that's me :)
[PeterAP] Yes
we will, this will take some time
[PeterAP] j-23
your are right in a way but things are going really fast+ plus we are seeing
the fans of civ like games to help us better ours!
[Inquisitor] When
do you think the game will be in beta test???
[Inquisitor] And
a public one at that?
[PeterAP] We
hope so, the distributor will decide this, yet we would reallyt like obe
as we are open to all advice on AP and believe that civ fans hold the key
for a truely great game
[Inquisitor] it
seems like microprose are the only civ-like-game companies not to appeal
to the net fans
[Inquisitor] Will
this game have online multiplayer capabilities?
[PeterAP] so,
which topics are still open? on which do you want feedback?
[PeterAP] that
is why Microprose has gone downhill they do not pay attention to Multiplayer
aspects
[PeterAP] Multiplayer
will be by E-Mail I hope....
[Inquisitor] The
topics are all open, the more we release the more we hope people to react
[Inquisitor] Hmm
I never got around to playing multiplayer by e-mail :(
[Inquisitor] im
certainly much more excited about the games that have a big web-presence
[PeterAP] We
actually hope to have a server, we have a surprise for you all if we get
this
[PeterAP] Usually
for such games, turn play and E-Mail let you prepare carefully what you
want to do....
[PeterAP] As
I said, Trust us on this it will be a great surprise if and when we get
this
[Inquisitor] what
will AP have that the other civlikes don't?
[Inquisitor] So,
lets be surprised :))
[PeterAP] apart
from a nice name? :)
