  • Which is better?

    Civ V or Beyond Earth?

They are both in the cheap bin, but I don't want to buy both at once.

I prefer Civ 2 and Civ 4 over Civ 3, if that helps.

I prefer Civ V, but I haven't played it since Beyond Earth was released
This space is empty... or is it?

I guess I didn't give Civ V a real chance. I played it for a couple of weeks and decided it was a loser. I still play Civ IV BTS nearly everyday.

Civ5 and BE both seem to have had such a negative reception that I have bought neither of them.

Perhaps the cash could be better spent on some other game?

I'll tell you what's better - anything in the discount bin for under $10

Civ V, with all the expansions is playable. I still prefer IV, but I do play it every now and then.

I uninstalled BE because I could use the free space more. I have +300 GB free.

Since my 5-6 year old laptop overheats when I even play Civ 4 on it, I have played neither Civ V or BE. Why don't I get a new computer? Sentimental reasons.

I am an almost exclusive console guy now. For the time being.

                  1st - I keep a cheap old laptop for old games (including Civ 2 & 3), so you can have the best of both worlds!;
2nd - Who is using AAHZ account? ...or did you get a spellcheck?

He does that every so often -- I take it as a for his other posts.

                    ...

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Dunno ... if we talk about Civ V without any Expansions vs. CIv: BE, I would say Civ: BE
if it is Civ V with all expansions, then most probably Civ V is better

                        ...

It is a little disorientating though.
