    The MAN from U.N.C.L.E.

    I just saw that they're making a movie from the old TV show.

    I'm not sure How I feel about this one.

    When we were kids, it was one of my favorite shows.
    It was one of the first SPY shows on TV so it was fresh and interesting.
    Now that SPY movies and shows are all over the place I'm wondering how this will play out to a younger audience.
    Now it's more common and not the new shiny thing it was back then.

    Do any of you younger pups even know about this show. (i'm sure it's been shown more recently on cable)

    Heard of it. Something my dad watched, iirc. Haven't seen it myself. I know it apparently influenced a lot of things I've watched, though.

        It would be a nice touch. He's probably old enough now to play Waverly. I don't know if Robert Vaughn is still alive but he'd probably be better for that role.

        I will admit that I know I'm getting old when it took me almost 10 minutes to remember what UNCLE stood for where I could have rattled it off in just a few seconds back them.

                  I hear the new James Bond film will be revive S.P.E.C.T.R.E. as the enemy just like they had in the early Bond films.

                          I remember Man From UNCLE. I thought it was great at the time, but last year when it was available on Hulu I watched the first episode and I realized how thoroughly cheesy everything about it was.

                          Before Man From UNCLE there was I Spy and Secret Agent. I Spy was Bill Cosby's first real break.

                          Anyone know what S.P.E.C.T.R.E. stands for? No cheating!
