Playing time may be only 5PM-11PM GMT on working days, weekends are possible rarely but also forenoon and afternoon.
I prefer short playing time (2-3 hours) and saves. I can play irregularly, no problem if a game takes many weeks.
I am very slow - 1 minute per a city is quite fast for me - I get little confused with that speed.
I am not weak in SP (Deity+5 is easy), but I have no big experience with MP.
Prefered Settings:
Only 1x1x
I prefer highly: non-deity (emperor, king, prince, best with an increased unhappiness due to number of cities), no huts, no barbs, no AI
A good game is the priority for me, the win is a cherry on the cake only (eeeh...is this used in english?)

, and I agree with the keeping awake part, but every now and then you have to play 1x1x to remind you why you don't play it more often.
