So the earlier victory leads to the much compounded score?
Would it be safe to say that an earlier victroy with less "points" is preferable to a later victory with more "points"?
How is the first and second point total Calculated?

An interesting game. I rarely go for domination, as conquest is usually easier. When I found that "The Americas" was completely free of AI civs, I realized I might be able to pull it off. So I sent off boat loads of settlers, longbowmen and missionaries. The aim was to spam cities and have their culture expand quickly enough to gain me the territory I needed before running out of cash.
A close call, but I managed it.
