stuck in industrial age??
I got the Automobile advance in 1800 but the buildings are still industrial even after a few turns. Is this a glitch or do they only change after a certain year? If it's a glitch, can it be fixed?
Thanks.

AFAIK, it should be automatic. I've never heard of a glitch like that before. It may be worth looking at cities.gif to make sure nothing is amiss.

Damn it. Sometimes it does this and I have to click on the screen a few times to get it to "refresh". But this time it seems stuck. It's a shame, was a good game, feels weird finishing it now.
Other save games load fine with modern cities so I don't think it's the file.

I'm pretty certain that you need both auto AND something else (I think electronics). From what I remember from my scenario building days, each city pic change is the result of getting two hardcoded tech slots. You might ask in the scenario league, as they've probably been fiddling with this kind of stuff.
