Before Romulus and Remus were born, their grandfather Numitor and his brother Amulius, descendants of fugitives from Troy, received the throne of Alba Longa upon their father’s death. Numitor received the sovereign powers as his birthright while Amulius received the royal treasury, which was overflowin with the gold Aeneas brought with him from Troy.
Because Amulius held the treasury, he held great power in the realm, with power came temptation and so it came to be that he dethroned Numitor as the rightful king. Out of fear that Numitor’s daughter, Rhea Silvia, would produce children who one day would challenge him, he forced Rhea to become a Vestal Virgin, a priestess sworn to abstinence. She was discovered to be pregnant nevertheless. The legend holds that she was raped by Mars, god of war. She bore the twin boys, as told, of remarkable size and beauty, later named Romulus and Remus. Amulius was enraged and ordered Rhea buried alive and the twins killed.

Piercing the hill
I-"This is it."
L-"Are you sure ?"
I-"GUARDS! Kill this man!"
L-"Oh Empress! Forgive me! I don't want to doubt your judgement !"
I-"So be it... leave my brother alone."
A few minutes later...
K-"Iris, oh my Empress, Shall we begin with the rituals ?"
I-"Yes Kresh, this hill will be the right place for your shamans to bless the earth, and build my - awaited - palace."
K-"The spirits of this land will be tamed for you. Your decision shows you are not only a lady of great intellect, but also that you have a good sense of beauty. I will oversee the rituals."
The young women climbed on the top of the chosen hill and admired the sight she was given by the spirits. A warm breeze came from the ocean, and the whisper of the waves surrounded her when she closed her eyes. The nearby forests and jungles where filled by bird's songs. The sunlight was dancing on the sea as well as on the river to her left.

Shamans began to carve small holes in the soil, where sticks and branches will be burried on order to anker the habitations to the ground, thereby swearing allegence to the earth they are build on.
In the distance, she could see another hill, and the wind told her the importance of that place. She immediatly ordered a scout in order to discover what secrets that hill was holding.
Once the first house was built, she went inside and took a well diserved rest.

-Here it is! Beautiful, isnt it? Didn't I tell you?
Well, yes. It surely is pretty, but...
-But what? You asked me to find a nice place to settle down more permanently, since our hunters discovered those big docile meat-on-legs creatures with horns on. And from this hill you have perfect vision of the herd, the green rolling grasslands and the stunning coastline. If real-estate salesmen were invented this place would be worth more dried cowhides than we can count! Not to mention that it would surely be easy to defend if any hostile beast or other creature came too close. What do you say, brother?
I don't know Vladimir, it's... just not what I had in mind. You know I'm a bit scared of heights, and from here, all around, seems so flat, and dull. And besides, there's no water.
-What do you mean no water!? Look, if you jump from the hill here you'll fall straight into that huge funny-tasting vastnessness of water. It's enromnous, eh, I mean gifrantic, er... really really big!
Yeah, but you can't drink it...
-Oh. You never said anything about drinking! You said, and I quote as best as my stone age mind can remember: Find us a nice place with a view over the ocean not too far from water. Actually I did find that last part a bit strange, didn't quite make sense, if there's an ocean view then there's obviosaisly water... Oh. #¤%$!
Don't worry too much, dear brother. I'm sure there's some water not too far from here, if you head north and west, I'll head due north and I'm sure we'll find a nice place. There seems to be a forest that way, I think I can glimpse trees in the distance.
-Right you are, Pitr. I'll go northwest, you go north.

In the newly built palace, the silent ones gathered. They did not trust the visionary ones. They had seen with their own eyes the empty expanses of land around them. There was no food, no water. Yet the Visonary ones did still proclaim that The Great One from up on the Great Mountain had spoken of how his chosen people would multiply and fill the earth as plentiful as the blades of grass on the great plain. But yet the people were starving, many had died this past decade. No rain had fallen, the people were dieing of thirst.
The Silent ones were scheming, Ye Olde Family, the leaders of the tribe had to be removed. Yet they were fearful, the Family had led the tribe for so long , most people were still behind them, but the unrest grew.
If no food or water were found soon, it would be the time of the Silent Ones.
Yes the Great One had told lies, this was a terrible place to set up permanent residence.

Before the heavens and the earth came into existence, all was a chaos, unimaginably limitless and without definite shape or form. Eon followed eon: then, lo! out of this boundless, shapeless mass something light and transparent rose up and formed the heaven. This was the Plain of High Heaven, in which materialized a deity called Ame-no-Minaka-Nushi-no-Mikoto (the Deity-of-the-August-Center-of-Heaven). Next the heavens gave birth to a deity named Takami-Musubi-no-Mikoto (the High-August-Producing-Wondrous-Deity), followed by a third called Kammi-Musubi-no-Mikoto (the Divine-Producing-Wondrous-Deity). These three divine beings are called the Three Creating Deities.
In the meantime what was heavy and opaque in the void gradually precipitated and became the earth, but it had taken an immeasurably long time before it condensed sufficiently to form solid ground. In its earliest stages, for millions and millions of years, the earth may be said to have resembled oil floating, medusa-like, upon the face of the waters. Suddenly like the sprouting up of a reed, a pair of immortals were born from its bosom. These were the Deity Umashi-Ashi-Kahibi-Hikoji-no-Mikoto (the Pleasant-Reed-Shoot-Prince-Elder-Deity) and the Deity Ame-no-Tokotachi-no-Mikoto (The Heavenly-Eternally-Standing-Deity). . . .
Many gods were thus born in succession, and so they increased in number, but as long as the world remained in a chaotic state, there was nothing for them to do. Whereupon, all the Heavenly deities summoned the two divine beings, Izanagi and Izanami, and bade them descend to the nebulous place, and by helping each other, to consolidate it into terra firma. "We bestow on you," they said, "this precious treasure, with which to rule the land, the creation of which we command you to perform." So saying they handed them a spear called Ama-no-Nuboko, embellished with costly gems. The divine couple received respectfully and ceremoniously the sacred weapon and then withdrew from the presence of the Deities, ready to perform their august commission. Proceeding forthwith to the Floating Bridge of Heaven, which lay between the heaven and the earth, they stood awhile to gaze on that which lay below. What they beheld was a world not yet condensed, but looking like a sea of filmy fog floating to and fro in the air, exhaling the while an inexpressibly fragrant odor. They were, at first, perplexed just how and where to start, but at length Izanagi suggested to his companion that they should try the effect of stirring up the brine with their spear. So saying he pushed down the jeweled shaft and found that it touched something. Then drawing it up, he examined it and observed that the great drops which fell from it almost immediately coagulated into an island, which is, to this day, the Island of Onokoro. Delighted at the result, the two deities descended forthwith from the Floating Bridge to reach the miraculously created island. In this island they thenceforth dwelt and made it the basis of their subsequent task of creating a country. Then wishing to become espoused, they erected in the center oPound the island a pillar, the Heavenly August Pillar, and built around it a great palace called the Hall of Eight Fathoms. Thereupon the male Deity turning to the left and the female Deity to the right, each went round the pillar in opposite directions. When they again met each other on the further side of the pillar, Izanami, the female Deity, speaking first, exclaimed: "How delightful it is to meet so handsome a youth!" To which Izanagi, the male Deity, replied: "How delightful I am to have fallen in with such a lovely maiden!" After having spoken thus, the male Deity said that it was not in order that woman should anticipate man in a greeting. Nevertheless, they fell into connubial relationship, having been instructed by two wagtails which flew to the spot. Presently the Goddess bore her divine consort a son, but the baby was weak and boneless as a leech. Disgusted with it, they abandoned it on the waters, putting it in a boat made of reeds. Their second offspring was as disappointing as the first. The two Deities, now sorely disappointed at their failure and full of misgivings, ascended to Heaven to inquire of the Heavenly Deities the causes of their misfortunes. The latter performed the ceremony of divining and said to them: "It is the woman's fault. In turning round the Pillar, it was not right and proper that the female Deity should in speaking have taken precedence of the male. That is the reason." The two Deities saw the truth of this divine suggestion, and made up their minds to rectify the error. So, returning to the earth again, they went once more around the Heavenly Pillar. This time Izanagi spoke first saying: "How delightful to meet so beautiful a maiden!" "How happy I am," responded Izanami, "that I should meet such a handsom youth!" This process was more appropriate and in accordance with the law of nature. After this, all the children born to them left nothing to be desired. First, the island of Awaji was born, next, Shikoku, then, the island of Oki, followed by Kyushu; after that, the island Tsushima came into being, and lastly, Honshu, the main island of Japan. The name of Oyashi- ma-kuni (the Country of the Eight Great Islands) was given to these eight islands. After this, the two Deities became the parents of numerous smaller islands destined to surround the larger ones.

"Boss it seems like deja vu. We have been through this situation before, I think."
"You are correct. It seem like a bad version of Groundhog day, we never know when we might need to start all over again, so we might as wlll practice again. Practice makes perfect, remember."
"Yes Boss. I am just tired of doing this over and over. I just wish this day we finally end."
"We all do."

It has been almost a year now since Kyoto was founded. During the first year many rival tribes tried to take Kyoto by force. Kyoto only had a small force of warriors lead by Nagamasa Sassa, leader of the Nagamasa clan who had control of Kyoto. Nagamasa knowing that Kyoto would fall if his small arm was destroyed; passes a decree to the people of Kyoto that all the young boys between 5-15 had to go get train to defend the city. The people of Kyoto, who feared annihilation, agreed and sent the boys to nagamasa’s castle. Over 10,000 young men were handed over to nagamasa and soon after the built a barracks to train these future defenders of Kyoto.
Only 9,500 became members of his army while the other 500 who displayed great mental and physical abilities became ninja. The ninja where split into 5 different groups according to were there hidden village was. The names of the hidden villages are: Konohagakure “Hidden in tree leaves”, Sunagakure “hidden in the sand”, Kirigakure “hidden in the mist”, Kumogakure “hidden in the clouds”, and Iwagakure “ hidden under the earth”. The leaders of each village were the strongest of all. They were given the name kage “shadow”; Hokage “fire shadow”, Kazekage “wind shadow”, Mizukage “water shadow”, Raikage “ lightning shadow”, and Tsuchikage “earth shadow”. With in each of the 5 leaders was given the wisdom and power to rule over there own village.

There's no end - there's no beginning -
To the old man's story
Does he still remember me -
From lives gone by
Oh I see his spirit rising
Upon the back of time
I've got nowhere to hide
Will he keep a place for me
He is the king of all kings
The keeper of light
He holds eternity's wings
In his eyes an ocean's burning
Swollen seat of tears
Troubled mind the beating
War drums in his ears
No one ever hears his warning
Am I the one he calls
When they tell me they're afraid
Some say I'll be put away
He is the king of all kings
The keeper of light
He holds eternity's wings
My blood will spill my blood
My blood will spill my blood
In the wisdom of the prophet's
Never ending tale
Open up the eyes
Within your mind, he says
Crowned in his ancient glory
There's a king within us all
Some will say it's all in vain
That he doesn't have a name
He is the king of all kings
The keeper of light
He holds eternity's wings
Ancient Warrior

The Metalhead's leader, the famous warrior poet Ozzy the Bateater (of whom many tales shall be told) wishes to initiate the first recorded exchange of information and technology in recorded history. An invention so powerful the world over will feel its benefits.
We, the proud denizens of Metaltopia do present to the honorable Japanese the invention of the paragraph.
Use this information wisely.

and so time passed and the family continued to rule. from father to son through the decades. eventually the people forgot of the scouts who had been sent wandering years ago, the people forgot of where they had come from.
They rarely worshipped the great one anymore and the people were stagnant

This forest seems quite big... And there's a lake not far west. Nice green terrain, no heights, a pretty bay right nearby. How about it? Is it good enough brother?
Hmmm... Well, not as close to fresh water as I'd like, but I think it will have to do. It's nice actually. Good hunting and woodworking in the forests, and right next to our horned meat-on-legs. We should really find a better name for them you know...
-Eh? What's wrong with meat-on-legs-with-horns?
A bit unspecific, and besides, it's not very snappy. Will be very hard to market them with such a difficult wording. Nope, we need something shorter and more sassy.
-Does it really matter? Once you club them on the head they're just chow anyway.
What did you say?
-Don't go senile and daft on me old brother, I said: Once you club them on the head, they'll just be CHOW, anyway.
Chow? Hmmm... I like the sound of that... Chow... I have it! Cow! Brilliant! Short and spunky. Cow - Meat. Cow - Horn. Cow - Dung. It works! Cow-Chow! Send out a memo to everyone that from now on, meat-on-legs-with-horns will hereby be known as Cow. Plural; Cows. Hah! I'm brilliant I am. By the way, what are you grubbing over?
-Just a bit of clay and grass and oil-based paints. It's our new home. As seen from the southern hill where we were before. What do you think?
Not bad. Hang it up somewhere, then get moving, you have exploring to do, and I have more naming to take care of...

Passing of the torch.
In the land of Owari a new power was rising. A powerful clan known as the Oda where coming to power quickly. The leader of the oda was a young 15yr old man called Nobunaga Oda, or as many considered him “the demon king”. Nobunaga was as brilliant as he was powerful, and with every victory he gained more and more support. Soon after Oda was done with Owari he turned his eyes on Kyoto.
Knowing the might of the Oda clan Nagamasa Sassa gathered his army. Nagamasa’s army out numbered Oda 5 to 1 but the brilliant maneuvering of Oda’s forces quickly over took Nagamasa. The battle only lasted half a day and only 6,000 of Kyoto’s 9,500 elite soldiers where wiped out. None of Oda’s 3000 were killed or even injured. Nagamasa knew his time was up so he gave control of Kyoto to Nobunaga. Nobunaga seeing how valiantly Nagamasa fought offered him a position as one of his generals. Nagamasa accepted and the rebuilding of Kyoto began.

It has come to my attention that Ozzy the Bateater wishes to exchange information and technology. We would be honored to exchange information and technology with The Metalheads. Yet at the same time we are curious. Show us you speak truth and we will comply. If not then I Nobunaga Oda daimio of the great Oda clan and new shogun of Japan will have ozzy's head.

The great journey begins.
One day while touring the capital of his new capital Oda asked Nagamasa how many times they were attacked and by whom? Nagamasa answered,” My lord the city of Kyoto has been attacked by hundreds of smaller tribes from all over. We are not sure exactly where though for we have not ventured to the north or south of our position. With our forces constantly trying to defend us we have had little time to explore.” Hmmmm Nobunaga said with his hand on his chin. “ I want you to send a messenger to Konohagakure”, said Oda. “ Tell them to send a squadron out to Kyoto.” So Nagamasa did as he was told and 2 hrs later 3 ninja showed up. The three were from the leaf village. They were dressed in long robes and wore masks with different designs. “ Hmmm, “ said Oda with a grin. “Let me guess from the look of you three you must be members of the ANBU. Good, it shouldn’t be easy to stop you three then. Anyways your missing is to head north and explore the area. After that head south and do the same. This is only a recon mission so try not to be seen. Once done report to me.” They nodded their heads and in a flash they were gone. Off to do the job that was given to them.
