I know you guys have probably heard this before, but I am having issues installing both both games. I actually think I could get it to run if I didn't have issues. I have both CDs, 1 for each game. MOO1, the problem I am having is, I run the installer, it asks me where I want to install the game to, which default is:
C:\MPS\ORION
I hit "OK" and it gives me and error about invalid directory, so I went and created C:\MPS\ORION to see if I could get it to install w/o creating its own folders... no go. Thats as far as I got with MOO1.
MOO2, I stick the CD in, the autorun takes off, and as soon as the first install screen appears I get:
NTVDM CPU Error illegal instruction CS:0210 IP:0115 OP:0f 00 00 00 00
I've tried doing some searching all day today to see what I could find and nothing... Any help is appreciated. I'm not the best on a computer, but can get around alright, just want to play my favorite old DOS based games. Thanks!

Ok, I cheated and got MOO2 to install thru DOSbox, and I can play it thru DOSbox, but I only get a small screen thru it, not a full screen. So, is there any way I can run it thru XP alone or does it have to be ran thru DOSbox? Still getting the NTVDM CPU error if I try to run the Orion2.exe thru XP. I also tried switching compatibility settings to Windows 95, with no luck. Thanks.

ALT+ENTER for fullscreen inside DOSbox.
Your error message is not related to MOO2. You will have generally trouble to run DOS applications on your XP. I have never heard of it before. You better use google to find an answer.

Thanks for the DOSbox tips... I guess I should have done a little research into DOSbox on that. But, much appreciated.
As far as the the NTVDM CPU error, its happened on a few programs I've tried to install, but MOO1 and MOO2 are the only 2 I've tried to actually get working. I've ran across some different similar issues people have had, but nothing exact, so it doesn't really help much.
Thanks again.

Now, I played around in MOO2 for a few minutes and noticed it is super slow and no sound. I'll be doing some searching for fixes for these problems, but if anyone has a fix, please post it here, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Ok, did some messing around with the .EXE files for MOO2 and I now have it running thru Orion95.exe full speed and with sound... so I should be good to go there.
Now, the issue I am having with MOO1 is... I can bring up the installer thru DOSbox, it says install the game, then asks me what drivers A:, B:, or Other, I choose other because I am using my D: (CD) drive. It asks to install from D:, I choose Yes, then it asks what directory on my HD to install to, I leave it default as C:\MPS\ORION, and it is still not letting me install to that directory, saying it is invalid. This problem has me super confused...
I appreciate all the help guys.

Yes, I tried copying the CD into the C:\MPS\ORION folder, and DOSbox lets me run the install.exe, but I can't get anywhere like that either because it asks what drive to install from... it won't let me install from C:\MPS\ORION to C:\MPS\ORION... I have tried it thru different folders, the copied CD stuff and tried to install to a different folder... its got me confused.

Yes, basically I am trying to install from C:\MPS\ORION to C:\MPS\ORION and I have tried different combinations of both where I am installing from and to, and it still says that the directory doesn't exist, even when I had already created the directory trying to trick it into using it. I'm not sure what to do with it.
