PLUS: Lifetime Prime 6 & Extended-4 Added
ApolytonPLUS News
Lifetime Prime 6 & Extended-4 Added
As we got older new options on our PLUS subscriptions needed to be added.
Lifetime Prime 6 is now availiable for Apolytoners with over 6 years since registration. The even-more-reduced price comes at $120 (from $150 for a newly registered user)
Extended-4 is the normal subscription lasting 4 years. It is also the choice for people with a 1 or 2 years subscription wanting to renew (by paying the difference between the two options). The price for Extended-4 comes at $65

Couldn't you just make ONE trhread, where all possibilites were lined up - one below the other? Fx. here?!
AND - for us the few, who do NOT want any international creditcard - a way to pay by a bank-transfer?!

Unfortunately, this is not practical for us. There is a potential workaround to consider, however, one which has been -- to the best of my knowledge -- successfully attempted several times already at least.
If you reasonably know someone who has a PayPal account and would be willing to 'front' the amount for your preferred subscription level, you could reimburse them by mailing them a cheque/money order afterwards. This could be ideally arranged through PM or email.

There should be a discount for lifetime subscription for those who have reached the rank of deity.

Or ... just get a paypal account yourself? Paypal can work with a bank account just fine (As opposed to a credit card), and is (theoretically) safer than such a card.

Actually it's not at all safe to use a US bank account with PayPal. It involves the possibility of them withdrawing money pretty freely from your account. I recall there be PayPal horror stories also about this.
Nevertheless, I assume in the case of TheBirdMan it's about his geographic location and not having a credit card. If I recall right, he's either Norwegian or Danish (can't remember all CtP/CtP2 regulars, pardon me), so if he wants to, I can assist him with the payment.
An EU/EFTA bank transfer is easily arranged. I kind of owe to help a fellow Apolytoner, as Tamerlin already helped me with my first payment. So far I've helped Ari Rahikkala once.

Markos, is it possible to allow Off topic posts to count for Plus members? That might draw in some people. Not me. But some people.

I wouldn't call having no post count in off topic a rule. It's more like a feature. Rules can be broken.

A feature, just like Plus users can use a larger avatar.

Well you wouldn't call it a rule. So even if they can be broken it is moot.
