PLUS LIFETIME: Reply included in automated mail
I'm glad to announce our first PLUS Lifetime exclusive benefit:
Automated "new reply" mails include the whole message of the new post
Before you ask:
1) Lifetime exclusive benefits (or more accurately, the greater majority of them) will pass on to regular PLUS members but at a later time (think months) when other lifetime benefits are added. This way we want to thank those who... dare to commit themselves by buying a subscription equivalent to more than 8 yearly subscriptions.
2) Control on the sending of automated mails is coming soon

Hehe, my thread beat yours by half an hour.
It's funny though, I am not a lifetime member but I got one (it's stopped now though). Were you testing it?

Wouldn't it be more logical to give this feature to non-PLUS members only? That way they can also read some posts while Poly is down for them. As PLUS members don't suffer load-saving features, they can always read the posts whenever they want anyway.

Err... I don't think we're getting it yet.
Sounds great for once it reaches us timed subscribers, though.

I use web-based email, so I would have to open my browser (which by default opens to the OtherGames forum) then go to my mail site, then login to check what new messages have been made on Poly.
No real need when I'm already at Poly.

I have been getting these "expanded" emails occassionally as well. It is either a random glitch or a subtle effort (showing a little leg, so to speak) to entice folk to opt for Lifer status in order to get them all the time.

Why? Web based e-mail is good. And I'm tired of spam in my college e-mail.

Upon further review...
The last 3-4 times I have gotten the "Lifer Reply in email" have all been replies to the Picture Thread. Might have seen it in different threads earlier, but can not remember.
Has any other non-lifer received such expanded emails, and if so, in what thread??

I definitely have got several for the picture thread. I can't say for sure whether they are exclusively for that thread.

It happened when Picture was not topped, too.
For that particular thread, it is a useless feature. I only see the text; not the picture.

Yup...also for New Style Sets .
So, it is spread around. Is it a random bug or a random tease??

A suggestion: for attached pictures, it should also send the picture (in a < img > tag).
