Easygoing C3C PBEM game
[Edit: Game is now full]
Hi folks,
I'm looking to start up an easygoing C3C PBEM epic game.
By easygoing, I mean a turn or so a day, sometimes less. It's the sort of game for those who have a bit of spare time before or after work - not for those who like to play for 4 hour stints twice a week and the like.
I was thinking:
Small world
4 players, choose your own civ
Monarch
All victory conditions,
Culture flipping on
Random everything else.
I'd also be keen for us all to install the beta patch when that becomes available later this week.
If this sounds like you, please post your interest and email me.
Bring it on!

Excellent! We now have 4 people.
Now all that's left to do is to decide on Civs and the best order in which to play.
MikeyJ and myself are in London, Shogun Gunner is in the USA, and Paddy the Scot is in Australia.
Are we therefore happy with: Me -> MikeyJ -> Shogun Gunner -> Paddy the Scot? This would seem the most sensible order if we all have day jobs.
As for civs, so far Shogun Gunner has requested Chinese or Greeks, and I will request Persians or Greeks.

Gents I think I'll go with India.
Need me to toss a coin to see who'll be the Greeks?

India huh? Well well well.
No need to toss a coin, I believe Shogun Gunner's first choice was the Chinese - Is that correct Shogun Gunner?
If so, we are as follows:
Andydog - Persia
Mikeyj - India
Shogun Gunner - Chinese
Paddy the Scot - England
If everyone's happy with that I'll start the random game at 19:00 GMT tonight! I'll also send out a group email so we have each other's email addresses.
I suggest we post in this thread when turns have been emailed?

MickeyJ, I too find it interesting that you chose India.
I have just finished a story, at Civ 3 stories, of a war I had with India recently.
Here is a link if you would like a look... People of the Valley
You may understand then that I have some interesting Indian memories...
Andydog, bring it on matey...

Well considering the Indians recent cricket exploits I thought they'd be a shoe in, to conquer the world.

I'm looking forward to this, I haven't indulged in a PBEM yet.

I am sure that you will enjoy the PBEM, as long as you have some patience in games that run for months

Nope, that was the first time actually. I'll make sure I spend a bit of time looking around there. Right now I've got to start getting ready for a Metallica concert!
