Vote for PolyCast Daily in "2009 Podcast Awards"!
- Vote Daily for PolyCast in the 2009 Podcast Awards (November 13th-30th 6PM Eastern Standard Time)! -
Last month, the call went out to nominate PolyCast ( PC) for the 2009 Podcast Awards short lists in both the "Best Produced" and "Gaming" categories. Yesterday, the Top 10 nominees in these and all 22 categories were announced. Thanks to the efforts of those who submitted nominations for PC, the show has been successfully nominated in the "Gaming" category.
On behalf of the PolyCast team, thank you for this. Now we need your help to vote for the show... and to vote every day!
Between November 13th-30th (6PM Eastern Standard Time), please vote for PolyCast in the "Gaming" category daily; for complete details, see the rules. Be certain to include your name and a valid email address to ensure the verification and in turn validity of your vote.

Addendum
It is true that the bid to get PolyCast nominated in the "Best Produced" gaming category as well was unsuccessful this year as compared to last year. While understandably disappointing, it is far from alarming.
According to the team behind this annual awards effort, more than 321,000 nominations were submitted this time around. That is an increase of almost 15% as compared to last year. Consider too that fully half of the podcasts in both the "Best Produced" and "People's Choice" categories appear only once themselves: that is, not in a genre category such as "Gaming" also. Given this, there are 210 podcasts nominated in the 220 podcast slots for the 2009 Podcast Awards. Taking the number of nominations received into account, any one podcast such as PolyCast faced incredible odds in making it onto the voting slate. Once again, to those who voted for the show, you ultimately allowed it to overcome those odds and get this far. Thank you again.
Now, let us prepare for the vote; remember, those who nominated and did not nominate PolyCast alike can vote for the show. In reminder, this is to run from November 13th-30th (6PM Eastern Standard Time).

You can vote every day. I didn't really like the validation email each time at first, but it's not that painful.

Good enough to advertise here, but not good enough to host?
Sorry, Dan I won't vote.

I'm sorry you feel that way (and no, I won't rehash that issue). I hope you're still enjoying the show though.

I feel the same, particularly when taking into account the reasoning for the validation (re: trying to prevent people from voting more than once in a day).

Once I got into the rhythm of it, it was fine.

I go here and there, assuming you're talking about WPC.

Conclusion
PolyCast did not achieve the title of "Gaming" podcast in the 2009 Podcast Awards -- that nod went to fellow nominee the 4Player Podcast. Nevertheless, a very strong showing (no pun intended ) given the ever increasing competition for these titles. This marked the second year in a row that PC was nominated in said category.
