And away to Mikeyj.
Paddy thanks for the link to the Demo game. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I seriously doubt I'd have time for it anyway...

Over to Paddy...
I also looked at the Demo game. Do you guys really do five or six hour chat sessions to determine the next moves? I'm sure I don't have time for that.
A very interesting concept. I will pop in from time to time to track the events.

Off to Shogun,
Gents I'm afraid tomorrow will be my last turn, for a week or so . I'm off snowboarding for a week then move straight into a new flat and will have to wait for a new phone line to be installed.
I'll think about having saves sent to work then saving to disk, taking home, playing, disk, work etc etc .

Now awaiting Ghandi on his return from his outdoor pursuits. Who’d have thought the dried up old bugger had it in him?

I'm picturing Mickeyj as an old ghandi in the lotus position hovering six inches above the snowboard....

Well gents I'm back in town, snowboarding in the lotus position definitely isn't recommended. Due to some great timing I’m moving house at the moment and my email address will change, in the meantime please use mickeyj_za@yahoo.com I’ll be able to get one turn off a day (hopefully). I’ll let you know what my new home address is as soon as I have one.
I’ll fire off the first turn tonight.
Cheers

It's nice to be underway again!
Gents I was thinking, we seem to be pottering along quite nicely here, how about we get another game cranking. Perhaps if one of us knows of a reliable 5th person, we could get them in also.
I was thinking of three options for an epic game, all being played on a standard size map, but I don't really give a monkey's if we want a different sized globe.

Box of Chocolates - random game, completely, civs and all (you don't know what you're going to get).

The History of Vulcan - choose civs, warm dry world, raging barbs, pangea, 60% water (for a more challenging game).

Into the Hands of Fate - someone else sets us up with a map (they choose the size, dimensions, civs, start locations etc) - the civs then get allocated to us by drawing names out of a hat. I personally don't know of anyone who would do this for us, but I've seen it go on elsewhere and you guys know of anyone then why not!
Are you up for it?
