Well, that was a great great read, it opens up the depths of Civ4.
Knowing all this, is going to add a lot more fun to an already fun game.
And this article makes me more aware who I should make alliances with and who I should be enemies with depending on who I choose to play as.

Glad you guys appreciated it. I'll be happy to take requests for future articles if there seems to be enough interest. I have the next two or three planned already, but after that, if the good Markos is interested in continuing to host them, who knows?

Thanks for the insight on leaders.
I got interested in many civs that I wouldn't propably ever used. Nice to see that Gandhi is a force to reckon in MP.
I will surely use this information agaist my brothers!

Surely I will!
First I have to buy the game (4. nov) and then I will train my skill a little bit. I have played civ 1-3 but it seems that strategies learned in those are not valid anymore.
...then I will come to kick some ass! ... NOT

Nice article. Fried I think your next one should be an overview of MP openings, with rough build orders and timelines.

Problems:
Mali IS NOT the only Spiritual non-Mysticism Civ!! Egypt starts with Agriculture and The Wheel.
Rating General Washington WEAK in the early game? This guide *must* have been written before the effectiveness of "cottage spam" was realized...I mean, no other Financial leader got an early-game "WEAK"  ...
