The number of new threads per day is getting way out of hand. A post can be 12 hours old, and find itself buried on page 2. Many people have been complaining about this. They say it disrupts their enjoyment of this site.

Time for some common courtesy rules for posting on the OTF. If you don't want to see your threads closed or deleted, pay attention.

Many people have been "requesting" that a limit be put on the number of threads people can start in a day. The logic is, that people would think real hard before just starting a thread so they can start a thread. Now, I'm not going to set a hard and fast limit. People have their own reasons for starting threads, and I respect that. But, if somebody goes new thread happy, and the subject matter of the threads is:

Silly thread after Silly thread (hey, silly is ok, but there is a limit in one day)

The same topic over and over again (just find the old thread and post)

Copy cat threads (I don't mind a good imitation, but do we really need 5 to 10 copy cat threads)

If I think you have been excessive in any of these areas, you will get a warning... and if it continues, a vacation.

Hate Threads... There will BE NO TITLES OF THREADS THAT BASH OR TRASH AN INDIVIDUALS.

I will just automatically delete any thread that is something like "AH is a jerk" If after deleting the thread, the same person starts a similar thread, they will earn a vacation.

Look, everybody is proud of their country, and there will always be the constant bashing of countries. Fine... keep them reasonable, and they are OK. But no more starting threads that have a sole purpose of attacking and individual member of this site.

Keep your minor flame wars to the threads they started in. Don't carry them over to every other thread. People don't want to hear it. This is the second most complaint I get. So, in the future, when I see wars crossing over to other threads, it will be treated like spamming. BOTH parties will be warned, and if it continues, they both will get a vacation.

If you have discussed a subject before, and you don't find it on the first page... GO LOOK FOR IT! Don't just start a new thread.
Do we really need 6 religious or political threads going at the same time SAYING THE SAME THINGS! Now, I really can't enforce this one... SO PLEASE JUST MAKE AN EFFORT!

If you are going to set up little (or big) orginazations... FINE! But restrict the postings to one or two threads. ANYTHING THAT STARTS TO DISRUPT THE FLOW OF THIS FORUM will be considered spamming, and appropriate action will be taken.
