Here are some interesting pages on Galactic Civilizations in case you're interested in the background and history:

Initially, GalCiv was created for IBM OS/2 back in 1993. v1.0 shipped in 1994, v2 in 1996 and "v-gold" in 1998. Here's the website for that:
GalCiv Gold Home Page for OS/2 (http://www.stardock.com/products/gcgold/)

GalCiv User Manual (still in development)
User Manual (http://www.galciv.com/docs)

GalCiv Home Page

Trevor's GalCiv Encyclopedia
Encyclopedia (http://webpages.charter.net/trevorpowdrell/)

Galactic Civilizations Media Guide (explains the game and its concepts)

Also relevant:

http://www.drengin.net/ - Subscription service by stardock which includes Galactic Civilization (and you get access to the beta - as I'm already playing :D ) and a handful of other games, provided you dont want the physical version of GalCiv.

Some (or all, I use them all) of those might be helpful:

Galactic Civilization Database, with techs, ship stats, social projects, tech tree, etc:
http://webpages.charter.net/trevorpowdrell/

Differently layed-out tech trees (in different sizes):
http://galciv.bsd.st/zai_h/

Unofficial FAQ:
http://geocities.com/russellmz/index.htm

Better pdf-manual, gradually getting updated to be not only easier to read, but also more informative:

Hope that helps somebody!

Another useful link when you want to update your Stardock account:
http://www.wincustomize.com

This is the website for another Stardock product. You can log in here with the email address you used for your Stardock account, and update your account accordingly (email address, password, nickname, etc.) There are also places to put in extra info such as your website or ICQ number, that will then show up on galciv.com in your profile on the bb and the Metaverse.
