I put the original Activision chart into Microsoft word (office 97 version). If your interested could send it to you and then you could modify if you want.

I use it just to print out a new copy and cross off as I go along - and for deciding where to change things for my own use.

It was laid out to fit on an A4 sheet - but I think the layout and looks depend on what fonts you have.

Thanks Morgoth.

Yes I'm interested, so please e-mail your file to me. I'm curious to know what kind of font I have to use to have it fit on one A4. Must be pretty small http://apolyton.net/forums/wink.gif

Is anyone here skilled enough (like alexman for instance) to design a utility that would be able to read the appropriate file and display the whole Advance Chart in graphic format.

The reason I'm asking that is for support of all mods. You all probably noticed, but unlike Civ2, when the Choose New Advance window pops up, there is no button "What do you want to research" which tells you what advance you have to pick up now for a given goal in the future. With this smart help, you didn't need to have a hardcopy of the modified advance chart to find your way in scenarios. Activision did not provide that feature and that's a pity http://apolyton.net/forums/frown.gif

So, being able to read the advance file and print it in a nice graphic way would be very helpful. I must recognized that it may not be easy to do, but maybe using a tool like VISIO could do it.

In the mean time, in order to put in the ApolytonPack, would anyone here have the time and will to draw CD's mod advance chart with a simple tool (like Excel, that can be used as a simple graphic editor to draw boxes and lines).

I could do it myself, but I have not much time, actually http://apolyton.net/forums/wink.gif

What do you think ?

I've posted it to you. The font it uses is 'abadi mt condense 6pt'.

Got it!

Thanks. I changed the font again so that it fits on one A4 page (Arial 5) with my printer, but, as I was expecting, it is very small - but still legible though http://apolyton.net/forums/wink.gif

I think this chart will be handy. Thanks again.
