EU2 release date?

Hi, anyone have any info on when EU2 will be officially released?

I just found a swedish site that said 8 dec 2001.
Does anyone else have better info?

EBgames.com says 13th of november.... maybe it's being released here first, this time around.

In North America and Sweden first, is what I have heard. The different translations will take longer, so the rest of the EU gets it a wee bit later.

Why does North America get it before the UK?

Why is a Swedish company (I presume Swedish) willing to let the Americans get their grubby hands on it before their European friends. :mad:

Language isn't an excuse for not shipping to the UK. Last I checked we spoke the same language as Yanks and Canucks.

Check out Gamespot or Gonegold.com and you'll see that the game has gone gold last week . I guess the release date should be like EB Games stated, November 13th for our American friends, and probably a couple of days (weeks?) later for the others...

For the later unlucky ones, I recommend you preorder from Gamestop, I did it for Civ3 and got my game delivered in 3 days (I live in Tokyo, Japan), I was already playing November 2nd! Anyway, they offer good & speedy service.

Its because Strategy First were the first publishers to sign up with Paradox for this game.

That doesn't explain why they can't sell it in the UK. If it is being produced in Sweden then just produce the English language version there aswell, and then ship 'em across the North Sea. The maximum delay is a a day at most!

Strategy First isnt publishing in the UK. Ubisoft is.
Ubisoft are having all the European translations done first so that they can release thro' their area simultaneously.
This is the decision of Ubisoft and is out of the hands of Paradox.
Now - if you and several hundred others can petition Ubisoft then please add my name to the list! I have the beta but would like the UK version too......... :)

It is out now in NA. It can be ordered online from Gamespot.
The date at the moment for the UK (I am waiting too!) is sometime in January.
I am not happy about it myself but that is the publishers (Ubisofts) decision :hmmm:
