Can someone from Team Banana confirm whether they're still playing?

EPW answered that Banana is dead.

I suggest to pause the game until we decide what to do.

What are the options:
o AI takeover
o Finding new people to take over Banana
o complete deletion of Banana from the map (via an "Atlantis event" maybe)

Please chime in with your thoughts as the current situation is unhealthy to the game.

I'll help anyone who decides to take over the Banana forums be giving them a short history of what banana did (no objective opinions) if no other teams mind. All it would be is: They research these techs in this order; they built these units, discovered Y teams at these points and then built Z cities.

If the CFC Demo game is a Single Team one, it may actually be easy to recruit players from there. (Many of the players in the multi team games here first played in the single team democracy games)

In any case it wouldn't hurt to ask.

This is an embarrasment. Omnistar is doing us all a favor by agreeing to take over an abandoned team. Yet it's been a full two says since he volunteered, and not a single individual has even given him access to the Banana team forum?! Come on, folks. :rolleyes: Where are the Demogame organizers?

No offense Zoid, but we've played a total of two turns in the last 20 days. I'm personally starting to lose interest in this game as well. The organization and management of this Demogame have not been up to par. We can and should expect better.

I wont say too much as my words have in past times been seen as an issue here at apolyton, and ive only recently become involved in this game.

Just wish to echo PLATO and ask where are the site admins in all of this, it would take a small amount of time to have this sorted !

Has anyone written to ming ? he usually sorts issues out fast and if he is not the one will make sure the correct one is notified.

Ominstar, are you certain that you cannot click "Private forum" next to Team Banana in the upper third of this page? It says in the "Team member" section that you are already in the team.

More importantly, Mostly_Harmless made a good point in our sign-up thread: if new players stop in asking to join our teams, we should kindly ask them to consider joining banana instead. Of course we don't want to turn anyone away, but if new players don't have a strong preference banana lets them have more input into decisions and lets us have less chance of this issue repeating.

Well, when talking of games that last for years, it's hard to find fault, really.

I have gone through 1 change of employment since this game began, quite likely will be seeing another soon. (I can only hope)

It's not that hard to see a circumstance where folks find themselves unable to participate, for demogames should really be low on the priority list when it all boils down to it.

That's why FEWER TEAMS, SHORTER GAME, AND LARGER TEAM SIZES should be prioritized for any future games.

My personal reaction is, that the timespan pause suggested, is too long. The 2nd or 3rd of January seems more reasonable to me.

2) No one but me has posted to Banana's forum in 10 days.
