Armed Braves and Defensive Bonus (bug?)

While browsing Civilopedia, I saw that Armed Braves recieve no defensive bonuses (similar to mounted units in Civ4).

On the other hand Armed Mounted Braves do receive defnesive bonuses, while still being mounted unit (regular Mounted Braves, as expected, do not recuive defensive bonuses).

Is this a bug? Typo in one of XML files?

You can't, period.

Probably because there is a FF that increases convert strength by 50%, which would make them utterly unbalanced.
