Templars : Huayna Capac (Ind/Fin) of Inca : 15 players
OK, what do we know about the Templars? Please post below, or amend, the following posts if you know anything about the civ in question, individual team members, or their style of play, etc etc. The more info we can get the better we will be able to deal with them when the time comes for action.

Aidun
UnO's Files:
Claims to be a "master diplomat", and eagerly seeks this position on all teams he is a part of. Whether directly speaking to the other teams, or working in the background.
English as a second language leaves him extremely prone to missing subtle nuances in diplomatic speaking. This is true in emails/PM's, but especially evident in live chats.
Seeing himself as the master diplomat, he is easily frustrated when the pieces don't move as he thought they would. To the point of abandoning his post in some cases, but more likely simply declaring war in game.
Believes all teams will act according to Game Theory, and fervently ascribes to it. Becomes absolutely baffled when one does not act according to his interpretation of it.
Easily manipulated into divulging much information about his own team while obtaining none in return.
As a player, makes a far better builder than a warmonger, yet often attempts to warmonger.

UnO's Files:
Leader personality, and likely turnplayer. While prefering a diplomatic concencus, will also dictate to the team on occasions he feels strongly about.
Likes to feel in control of the situation. Whether it's his team, or a partnership in an in game relationship, will seek the upper hand. Often not even subtly. As such, often strains relationships or down right alienates partners.
Prone to feeling confident in a given situation when presented with the illusion he is the one making the call. Be it a trade, a military arrangement, or any other deal. Making him feel he has the upper hand is essential to a flawless execution of the deal.
Whether by choice, or having thrust upon him, often becomes the General of the units. And as such has a consistant habit of failing to guard against a flanking maneuver, especially when coupled with diversionary forces. :cute:
Rather annoying habit lately of becoming something of a "turtle" player. (possibly due to the above) Unwilling to place his units at risk, even when they possess obvious numbers or strength advantages. Often leads to not capitalizing on offensive opportunities. (annoying, because I get annoyed when I feel my opponents don't play their best)
Generally honest, fair, and slow to anger, but has his sore spots and tends to hold grudges from previous games.
As a player, he is fairly balanced in skill both building and warmongering. With the aforementioned weakness on commanding the actual units.

Beta's right hand man, or lap dog. I haven't quite decided.
While he likes to give the outward appearance of being a lurker, is always active in team decisions.
Warmonger through and through. That does not mean to imply he lacks all skill at domestic choices.
Easily angered by most anything. Something not going right. Catching them off guard. Public posting in a roleplay fashion. You name it. And, he tends to hold the grudge from whatever for a long time.
At one time enjoyed diplomatic maneuvering, but has taken a back seat lately after being fooled one too many times.
As a player, he often misses the finer details to be a true expert. In a demogame format, he tends to rely on others to fill in those details, and becomes the 'big picture' person.
DO NOT LET HIM BE THE MONK IN A GUILD WARS PARTY.;)

joncnunn accidently started a 'How shall we determine religions poll' in the public thread......
Choices were
Role play based
Resource based
He voted Resource based.
Then I deleted the thread on his request
Looks like Templars are going for a religion then........ ;)

Sounds like Uno should be one of our diplomats. Also makes me realize just how cutthroat MP games are. :hide:
Edit: Didn't there used to be a backstab smilie?
