View Full Version : Tim Train: One Big Huge Interview
Since this really doesn't fit into any other category (debate with me all you want, but it won't do you any good http://apolyton.net/forums/smile.gif)...
In one of his first interviews since becoming a founding member of Big Huge Games, Tim tackles some of the big questions about why he Firaxis, why now, and what he sees his role as being at BHG both in terms of contributions to the company and the gaming community.
Comments/questions are welcomed.

I always greatly appreciated Tim's updates and appreciation for the fans. I'm sure he'll carry that over to BHG, which should serve the company well.
Good luck, Tim! http://apolyton.net/forums/smile.gif

I think this is good for Civ3. Someone had mentioned before, that it's a good idea to bring in new blood. I mean, from the sound of what Tim and Brian have been saying, they're really burned out on the Civ series.
You really need someone to look at the game through a child's perspective. Preferably a child on Chistmas Day who is ready to open his presents. It's that kind of fire that makes games great. And it's that fire which I think they'll bring to their new projects, because that's where their heart is.
Sometimes you need to move on. I wish them well.
Speaking of which, does anybody need a junior level sys. admin in Los Angeles? http://apolyton.net/forums/wink.gif

I agree with Derek that they appear to have been burned out on TBS games, and if that's the case they should move on (Tim said he was burned out actually). Apologies for not being here sooner, but I've been away for a week.
At this point I am content with civ3. Let the future bring what it may.

after all, Apolyton mainly consists of TBS fanatics, which is not what he's looking for since BHG is concentrating on RTS.
