Then why don't you all go and let the developers know that. Vote in the latest poll in freeciv.org (http://www.freeciv.org). It asks what platform you most often play Freeciv on. For now, the results (http://www.freeciv.org/poll.phtml) speak for them selves.

well seeing most people cant gt Freeciv to work on Windows I would be amazed if they could answer that poll with majoirty of people playing freeciv on Windows, if you asked the same poll here but asked the question who wants a Windows version you would get more numbers....

We probably would get more numbers. If we offered free computers we would probably get a lot of votes too.

As a side note, I had to use a windows machine the first few weeks at my new job and I played Freeciv on the windows box after about 5 minutes. I don't think its that hard to set up.
