I'd say let's go for it. The starting tech of Mining is a little less advantageous, but nothing's really changed with our traits, has it?

Nope, and chopping is still quite worthwhile in my book.

Just no longer an end-all strategy.

Heh, I began chopping first after that change came about some months ago, so I have never seen it's full capabilites. It still is a good strategy as far as I can see.:)

Well I think Frederick sucks in general, so I'd love a change, but I doubt they'd let us pick a new civ/leader just because. :)
