Play now or wait for patch?

Get this off already. After the patch is before the next patch. The worst what can happen is, that the patch is released shortly after we start. If the saves are compatible (which is what I'd expect), we can continue without delay. If not, it would give us the option to either restart or to just have a dual install.

If we wait 1-2 more months, I bet the majority will vote for waiting for the XP, which would mean another delay (no XP without problems on release), probably until autumn at least. Another problem would be, that we exclude those who don't buy the XP right away. I for my part won't.

I'd prefer to wait... I can be more active during the summer months anyway, so it'll be more fun for me if we wait. My guess is in our team's case, any time is about as busy as any other, but in my being a college kid, exam time in may is positively correlated with me not being on the boards!

I tend to agree... seeing that we'll play only a couple of turns the first few weeks, it's easy to replay if necessary (we could even ask the mods to do that for us, if we give them detailed instructions and maybe the promise of a beer or two).

Well, pretty much the same for me. I tried to drum up some hype in me during the last few days, but I certainly don't know how long this interest holds, especially since I'm dragged away by other excellent things (Oblivion and the Vanguard beta being two of them). Chances are, that if the game starts (somewhere within the next 2 years), that I won't even notice it. :(
