Sign up whomever feels able* to play the turn.

* - ability to play the turn consists of following factors:

- ability to be there in timeframe of 24hours (the turn time is likely to be 48h, but the first 24 should be left for planning)
- ability to follow and participate in the planning phase (requires coming online at least each 12h, reading what's being discussed and participating in discussion)
- decent skill in playing on Prince level (seems that will be one we'll be playing) or higher
- ability to execute plans not made by yourself or even opposed by yourself
- ability to make momental decisions when hint is not available and take responsibility about consequences
- ability to actually play cIV on your machine

I would sign up, but I lack the last one still, Im gonna get my comp home only midday today, after that we shall see (it's having graphics card problems :( )

Applications are accepted in following form (copy it from here):

Highest SP level beaten:
MP expierence[none, some, play mostly MP]:

This thread will be the basis for our turnplayer election..;)

Highest SP level beaten: Noble
MP expierence: None
Avail. playtime by GMT or EST(mention which): 1200-1300 GMT, 1930-2300 GMT

I'm only online at work for a few weeks now (I'm moving house and need to get broadband sorted there). I can install the game here (and come in at weekends), but I won't be able to respond outside work hours usually.

This thread will be the basis for our turnplayer election..;)

Don't you mean draft?
I think I've dodged it it any case :)

Man, I was meaning like you should give actual play times:

GMT 17:00-23:00
or
EST 8:00-11:00

Times should be given in full time format 0:00-23:59 to avoid confusion.

I'd throw my hat in the ring but for two reasons:

I have no civ 4 mp experience at all.
I am more or less completely unavailable at the weekends, and currently even during the week is tight at times.

I'm not far from my first win on immortal though :D

The MP expierence was not a decisive factor, you were only requested to list it.

I have enough problems at Chieften so I guess I am out. ;(

Highest SP level beaten: Prince, reliably with a financial civ. On and off without that trait.
MP expierence[none, some, play mostly MP]: some, at least if a PBEM counts as MP. ;)
Avail. playtime by GMT or EST(mention which): Timezone is GMT-1. No real (un)availability hours, being unemployed. :D

Btw, I take it turnplayers go on a rotation?

Turnplayers get elected and impeached if it turns out they don't fit..:p

I can live with that. I simply need to pull a 'nigma to get rid of the job then. :cute:

Hmm... I could pick up a turn every now and then but I'd need to follow a pre-defined plan. I rarely min-max my empire when I play.

Highest SP level beaten: noble =), i started playing monarch directly after that but never finished a game.
MP expierence[none, some, play mostly MP]: none
Avail. playtime by GMT or EST(mention which): every day a few hours in the evening (gmt+1)

i'm willing to do it, but i obviously need guidance

I'll assist in playing the turn. I wouldn't be a good person to rely on as sometimes I vanish for a few days.

Recently, I've started to slaughter the Monarch CPUs. However, I need one of Organise/Financial to help me do this. Philosophical helps too.

Starting to look like there's not too much choice... :scared:

I can run civ4 on my pc without problems. I am willing to devote the time to take screenshots etc... However, I can not play civ4 very good.

- ability to be there in timeframe of 24hours (the turn time is likely to be 48h, but the first 24 should be left for planning) => Should be OK most of the time.
- ability to follow and participate in the planning phase (requires coming online at least each 12h, reading what's being discussed and participating in discussion) => Should be OK too
- decent skill in playing on Prince level (seems that will be one we'll be playing) or higher => damn, I'm barely beating noble: Always score-wins when time runs out, whenever I get involved in an end-game war, I loose.
- ability to execute plans not made by yourself or even opposed by yourself => Not a problem, don't have that many "strong" opinions about civ4 strategy myself
- ability to make momental decisions when hint is not available and take responsibility about consequences => If "to take responsibility" means to step down as turnplayer, yeah sure, no problem.
- ability to actually play cIV on your machine no problem

Highest SP level beaten: noble (won 2, lost 6)
MP expierence[none, some, play mostly MP]: none
Avail. playtime by GMT or EST(mention which): week: GMT 20:00 - 01:00, weekends: not reliable

I've started playing on price, I'm losing consistently (although I'm improving to the point where I lose due to being behind in the space race rather than being flattened in the middle ages).

I've been playing with Qin Shi, so that's not a good sign.

Okay, now we have a bunch of not very confident candidates.
We should elect one main turnplayer and 2 auxiliary ones for any case when the main is unavailable.

GeoModder

/me is sufficiently confident.
