PBEM - Unable to Compress Data ERROR!!!

Anyone else seen this...? I go to launch a turn, it gets through the splash screens, then is unable to compress the game data...

Any hints on how to get around this?

shure it isn't problem with decompres? Who did you get the save from? Ask him to replay his turn. THe save is most likely corrupted.

Ah, tks for the reply...

It is CanuckSoldier, I guess he forgets to play with the right version, and probably plays with the beta version and it doesn't compress properly, he just replays it and sends it, fixed now...

Seems it isn't just due to the beta testing version versus the released version... Many ppl have had this problem.

euro vs NA version maybe?

hmmmm, maybe, but the other time it occurred for me was with a fellow canadian who was a beta tester...

ok, beta versions are also different builds. although, maybe the european version is the same build as the american one with only a different installer...

The EU version is the same build as the NA version. It just ships on a DVD instead of two CDs.

CS is a beta tester, and the error you see is most likely due to he picking the correct version. Question asked and answered.
