At 9’0 clock this morning, Aqualung attacked and invaded Transylvania. This was a surprise to me. In fact, I had no suspicions of what was coming. I was given no warnings.. Aqualung is a monster of wickedness, insatiable for his lust for blood and plunder. So now this bloodthirsty guttersnipe, must launch his mobile army upon new fields of slaughter, pillage, and devastation. And even the carnage and ruin which his victory, should he gain it-though he's not gained it yet-will bring upon the Carthaginian people, will itself be only a stepping stone to the attempt to plunge four or five hundred millions who live in BOH and the 350,000,000 who live in Babylon into that bottomless pit of human degradation over which the diabolic DR flag flaunts itself.

The DR regime is indistinguishable from the worst features of despotism. It is devoid of all theme and principle except appetite and betrayal. It excels in all forms of human wickedness, in the efficiency of its cruelty and ferocious aggression. No one has been a more consistent opponent of despotism than I have for the last twenty-five years. I will unsay no words that I've spoken about it. But all this fades away before the spectacle which is now unfolding.

Let us learn the lessons already taught by such cruel experience. Let us redouble our exertions and strike with united strength while life and power remain.

350,000,000 gave it away. Only country it could be is Russia, as China was out of the question.

So I'm fighting Stalin now? I'm shaking in my boots ;)

Still, marvellous post LN, that's the spirit!

One minor point though - if you're going to quote others saying "No one has been a more consistent opponent of despotism than I have for the last twenty-five years", make sure you're at least old enough to cover that period. Or are you really not only 13? :D

And now for some of that delicious wickedness of which I apparently now stand accused.....

The Lord Desolator confirms this is in fact true....except that the invasion began on the stroke of midnight, as befits an attack upon Vampires. Attacking during the day would have been unsporting, as they would all have been sleeping in their wooden boxes ;)

In fact, I had no suspicions of what was coming. I was given no warnings.
Oh dear, I am dreadfully sorry old chap.....how much warning would you have liked?

So finally there rises a "monster of wickedness" who does not bear a Horde flag......or does he?

The DR regime is indistinguishable from the worst features of despotism.
You're a bit behind the times....we've left Despotism behind ;)

It is devoid of all theme and principle except appetite and betrayal. It excels in all forms of human wickedness, in the efficiency of its cruelty and ferocious aggression.
The Desolation Row does not betray its allies. The Lost Boys have never been our ally, and in fact have threatened us with war on more than one occasion. If you believe there has been a betrayal, produce the document bearing witness to such an alliance. Alas you cannot, for there is none.

No one has been a more consistent opponent of despotism than I have for the last twenty-five years. I will unsay no words that I've spoken about it. But all this fades away before the spectacle which is now unfolding.
Indeed you have, good sir.....but a naive one at that.

Let us learn the lessons already taught by such cruel experience. Let us redouble our exertions and strike with united strength while life and power remain.
My ministers, generals and I look forward to this challenge, as our Immortals once again are unshackled and march forth into unknown lands with their swords unsheathed, their eyes sparkling ferociously with the dread of their intent and their faces steeled with the grimness of war.

Do your worst, mine enemy......and let this be a warning to all who ride with you. Death and destruction shall rain down upon any nation who dares stand in the way of our advance.

That means you, Babylon (though I suspect you've got your hands full at the moment) ;)

Sorry, Aqua, I'd love to spar with you here just for the fun of it. I don't feel safe doing it here anymore.

Oh come now GB, the fun is just beginning all over again.

Now where do you stand, oh respected Babylonian Ambassador? :scared:

OOC

Not everybody gets the joke, friend Aqualung.

I'm willing to do it with you in PMs if you like and in character.

Truth be told, I miss the fun of the duelling.

Do continue your role-playing, venerable Golden Bear, for I enjoy good sport and I hope others do too.

Do not abandon us and desert us, do not leave us desolated please.

That Death and Destruction rain seems pervasive in the southern continent these days. Threats seem to be the clouds that precede that storm? Are fair nation seems circumscribed by violence. We watch in concern as our circle of friends draws smaller.

As an aside, Aqua, there are refugees that have passed through our cities, looking for peace - they tell tales of scruffy long haired men - and women in tie-dyed shirts - moving in to your cities to fill in where the men in armies are now absent... filling in in all ways if you catch my drift. Evidently the border patrols are not as much of a Row as they could be. I actually have heard that the path from the ancient Euphorican homelands into Desolation Row is now called, "Ganja Alley."

Be careful and beware mighty conquerors. History records over and over that over time the conquered subvert the ancient ways of the warriors until the two peoples are as one.

It seems like the outcome of this game has more or less been decided.

The futility of man astounds me...............
