All their cities are targets to be frank, I want them gone but that will take some time to achieve. Ive recieved several give me this or else threats from them during the game and so far they have always backed down when Ive said P i s s off matey :D

as to the Russians, I see some good battle paths for the cavalry to manourve through there lands.

I take it that you will want to take and keep as many of the Russian towns as possible.

My battalion commanders are drilling this and several other facts into my troops. Afterall they will be fighting along side of your good troops, and we would hate to tarnish the image of your lads with some of our barbaric ways :D

Indeed yes thank you, its different thats for sure, certainly not as stressful for me, but then not as challenging and Im still weighing up the pros and cons of that.

I will stick it out and give it some time to see how things can develop though, Im sure my imediate boss is open to suggestions and willing to explore ways to expand my role and thus make the job more interesting for me. That might sound quite mad but remember Ive always been my own boss and had to work on my initiative.

The time has come to test our metal with Russia, our troop ships are in place to raid their saltpeter deposits and our main land force back home is itching for action.

Not sure how long their MPP will last or whether they would sign a military alliance against Russia ? Should we try to isolate Russia before we attack ?

I was surprised to see no military manouvering from them so they have not triggered my mpp's with prussia or austria, but neither have they signed any new mpp's.

however I would hold back your troops for at least one turn to see if we can entice them to attack me first and trigger those mpp's :)

In other news we took two towns from the bear, but we dont think they will be a pushover. We did manage to cut off there saltpeter supply, but two of our expeditions units were destroyed defending the resource tile, leaving only 6 to fight next time. We watched as the Russians killed one of your boys and stole away 3 of your Grand batts, we would suggest you protect your cannons better than this as we would rather see you firing them at the russians than have the Russians firing your guns at us :)

12 Grand Batteries, 6 Musket Infantry and 20 Cavalry have laid seige to Moscow :D

11 Cavalry have the blood lust up, and have ridden past their 9 musket infantry support units to charge Smolesk... there are 4 grand batteries defending this town, along with elite units of the Russian Guard

Away to the south the mighty 9th Army has laid seige on Magnitogorsk

From the sucess of the battle of Kiev, 23 units have been reloaded onto transports and are on their way to seige Krarkov

it is good to see your two redcoat battalions in the mountains outside "fish and tale". the spanish and I have trade this city back and forth for many a year now... I have recently smashed several strong regiments of cavalry upon this once proud yorkshire township. go hard and may the day be yours

you may notice a change in my tactics with dealing with the spanish townships

they are playing hardball, well so am I.

at this time I have two heavy flotillas on their way to the spanish coast.. they will be some time getting there due to other actions and the vaste distances needed to be covered.

currently on the northern spainish coast, due north of "Santander" my frigate Apples mate is running fast hard west... she is a mess (1 hp) and has a spanish fleet not far in her wake. if by chance you have any vessels in the area, please feel free to lend a hand. my understanding is that the spanish are running 2-3 soline and 2 frigates

and yes 20 mins is a good time for these saves
with some city management I went a tad longer

Spain is causing me trouble on the small North island next to their secondary settled region. Ive lost 2 cities to them here and they have managed somehow to reinforce faster then I have managed. The tide will turn though soon enough and I have taken another of their cities in Yorkshire. This now gives me a harbour access to the channel between our two continents :)

Soon the channel will be crawling with Stafordshires shipping :D

We have recaptured one of our lost towns on the Northern isle and should we feel retake the second next year. We have more troops rushing through Yorkshire to rendezvous with the battle group which has already taken two Spanish cities, to bolster their number and garrison captured towns.

Please Sire let us know if you wish to control any of these gains and we will happily cede control to your County though the harbour city would be useful as an anchorage for the fleet :)

Yes and it looks as though the Ottomans are giving the Spanish a good kicking so perhaps the pressure from them is subsiding, I certainly have not seen any more of their knights in the last couple of turns :)

what do you think of this idea:

a quick limited war again Austria
I now move as many troops as I can into Austria over the coming 10 - 15 turns.
make a massive stand outside of Vienna
then declare war
take Vienna
then sit in for a seige
until I can get peace from them

anyway an idea to utilise my troops, seeing you are off to fight the turk

No details can be released at this time for fear Jhonny Turk has his spies reading these despatches but rest assured the reports should flow in next time as the great guns dig in and prepare their fire breath to spit great white hot lumps of death onto the target of the day :D

Last turn we manouvered our column into position to strike the ottoman township of Iznik, old jonny turk thought he try and sneak a counter attack through behind our forces threatening our early beachead territories.
