Well, I'm 29 and wouldn't mind selling you guys a couple years to help you reach 18. Act now. Supply is limited! (I don't want to drop below 21 for various alcohol-related reasons) |

Actual age 15, mental age 45------------------ Tomorrow is another day. However in retrospect it will be very similar to today. |

And when you reach 45 it will be the opposite. Anyway, I also have 4 or 5 years that I'm willing to sell (don't want to go below 25 for insurance reasons). |

I think they are legaly required to have the minimum contest age be 18. You see this restriction on many, many contests and lottery type things. I'm not sure of the concept behind the law, but I doubt the Firaxians did it on purpose so as to be mean to their underage fans. While we're talking about the contest, do you know what I'd like as a Grand Prize? Some info about Civ III. I wonder where they'll put the winners face. Perhaps on a hidden civilization made up a group of fanatic Civ fans. High discontent but high research too; a little like Zak from Smac. Joe |

My guess is they'll probably make a video of when an army captures a city and have them killing people off, and the winner will be one of those people. ------------------ The Brain: Weirdo who takes modern culture and stabs it in the eye -Founder of DoH! -Please pull up to the second window -I see dead people...give me my medication! -What's your favorite scary mov--Please deposit 25 cents for the next 5 minutes. -Visit DoH, or else! -How much longer is my sig gonna get? -This much. |

A few answers to some questions and comments:1) We are looking into allowing minors enter the contest. It's not that we don't love you guys, but the whole pesky "law" thing can get a bit touchy with minors sending us pictures that we then post on the Internet. I think we will be able to accommodate fans under 18 by coming up with a parental request form. I'll let you know as soon as we get it confirmed. 2) You do *not* have to be a U.S. resident to enter. In fact, we encourage our fans from across the globe to enter... 3) To the person who complained about us not even giving away a game, the whole idea here was to come up with prizes that weren't the run-of-the-mill "have a copy of our latest game". Many of you already own all of our games, and we thought we could come up with something more unique. 4) The grand prize is *not* "a t-shirt and your face in Civ III". It's a large, professionally framed full-colour base portrait rendering, a t-shirt, your choice of two books and two movies, and your face in Civ III. Not bad for sending in a photograph, I'd say. I'd like the prizes they're giving out... the painting sounds cool and I've got a perfectly sized blank spot on my wall too, and that history of invention book looks like a lot of fun to read. Sadly, I doubt I have the time or funding to construct the props I'd need for my pair of ideas. It should, however, be greatly entertaining to see what other folks send in. I am curious though, the rules say you have to have a game box in the picture. Would a very obvious hint-book or game manual be just as good, or does it literally have to be the box?
