Well now it is ready. I hope it is not only running on my machine g  . You can download the map here:
http://www.ctp-base.de/worldmapv0.8.zip Please report if the map runs as it is supposed to do. Dont forget to reade the "readme.txt" file. Actually there are 27 (+ barbarian (28)) civs. With 28 playable civs the game crashed for me... . Hope that did not had to something with my system requirements. Testet the maps 100 turns without a crash now g. To increase the speed of the ai turns you may turn off "show enemy move". PS: It is still a beta. So dont be "pissed off" if the map doest work g.

It is my own map. It is 150:300. The standart map 70:140. So there is quite more place to settle. Global conquest isnt possible on this map i guess... hehe. Took about 12 hours to design it. I have to say that the new map editor isnt better than the old one. Or I dont know how to use it... . @Mark & Dan

Well I am sorry to say. It looks not good for the map. I am at turn 150 and I receive a serious slow down in the ai turn. With ech new city it is getting worse  . Seems that all the work was for nothing. Maybe it works better on other systems... .

Is it possible to play the default world map in CTP2
for multiplayer lan and if so how do you do it ? |

About this world map, was just gonna try it. But do you have to use the cheat meny ? Then you won´t get any score ? The map looks great and all, but I guess 28 players wont be possible to play for almost everybody. CTP 1 was kinda tough with 16 players.

@DeppYes you have to use the cheat menu for any scenario where you not want to play with the nr1 civ . Hope they fix this in a patch. The other way is to give no start postions. Then you dont have to go through the Cheat menu. But who wants to play as egypt in kanada on a worldmap?!? I made a similar map for ctp1 and there was even 1 civ more on the map. With that map I didnt had the "ai neeeds endless" prob until i reached the modern time. So I thought it would run in ctp2 too. It is easy to kill some civs. Maybe I try it tomorrow again with reducing 3-4 civs. But if it doesnt run on my PIII 866, 128mb ram, I dont have to much hope that this can improve the speed significant. ---------

Yep apollon, got it straight from the US Pal, try to get it down to 20 or so. I played a game with 16 civs last night and that was fast, I had no complaints. |

Thanks, Palpatine. That always aggravated me that CTP1 never came with a world map. I haven't bought CTP2 yet, but *if* I do, I want a good, functional map on which to play my favorite cultures. You da' man! |

Wow... this is a great map. Much better than the one that came with CTPII. Wish you could play without cheating, though. |
