  • PolyCast Episode 147: "Lots of Speculation"

Just the way it's wanted. The one-hundred-and-forty-seventh episode of PolyCast, "Lots of Speculation", features regular co-hosts Daniel "DanQ" Quick, "Makahlua", Philip "TheMeInTeam" Bellew and Lisa "qnl" Bang with returning guest co-host "MadDjinn" and first-time guest co-host "Peng Qi"; it has a runtime of 59m59s; listeners are encouraged to rate the show on iTunes and follow on Twitter.

Recording live before a listening audience every other Saturday, PolyCast is a bi-weekly audio production in an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on game strategy; sibling show RevCast focuses on Civilization: Revolution, ModCast on Civ modding, SCivCast on Civ social gaming and TurnCast on Civ multiplay.

      Hi

Something is weird with how polycast is connecting to the iTunes store. I can't get any updates from there anymore, and up to visiting here to see what's up I thought you stopped doing shows after #145. When I try to refresh my subscription I get a weird error from iTunes saying "There was a problem downloading PolyCast. The network connection was refused.". I have no problem with other Podcasts (about 4 of them).

Do I need to change to manually downloading the episodes from now on?

The reason for this is because the server that hosts our RSS feeds, here on Apolyton, is down still unfortunately. You can access them off of the official website and then load them onto iTunes manually in the interim. Thanks for checking in, and hope that you enjoy the show.

How long have you been a listener out of curiosity?

To the podcast, hmm.. no Idea, something end of 2009? When I started hearing podcasts the first time it was with Three moves ahead, and so I thought "what other podcasts would be on a similar topic", so that's that.

I'm on the site far longer tho, I think I registered on the site when civ3 was a year old... no idea. but I'm more of a lurker in general, and always a single player-gamer when Civ-type games are considered.
