FINAL ROUND IS UNDERWAY!
(9 July 2005, 01:57 | C3C IDG: Apolyton Team) Apolyton, through a selection process, was given Sumeria, as it's Civ to play in the final round of the C3C ISDG that started nearly 2 years ago. The other teams will be represented by the following Civ's and will play in this turn order:

CDZ: Iroquois
BAT: India
CGN: Celts
CBR: Dutch
APO: Sumeria
PAL: Maya

CDZ (Civ3 Duel Zone) received the first turn for play today and have 24 hours to play it and send to the next team. Of course, this being the first turn, it may take a bit longer than 24 hours for things to get settled as far as the team making decisons on whether to start where they find their settler or take a risk in moving to a better location. Each team will have to struggle with this choice more than likely.

The game is being hosted by what used to be called "Civilization Design Group" (CDG). They have changed their name and also where their site is hosted. It is now known as "Evolution Games." You can check to see that status of the game here

If you are interested in joining Apolyton, or any other team in this game, feel free to contact the individual teams. To join Apolyton all you have to do is click on this link and join the C3C ISDG group and then send either BigFree or OctavianX a PM to let us know of your interest.

END OF C3CISDG ROUND ONE - TEAM APOLYTON MOVES ON!
(9 May 2005, 22:12 | C3C IDG: Apolyton Team | 3 comments) Team Apolyton of the Civilization 3: Conquests Inter-Site Democracy Game is proud to announce that it has survived the first elimination round of the epic clash of the democracy game teams! Ten teams entered two different PBEM games (five in each) representing major websites in the worldwide Civilization community - Civ3 Brazil, CivFanatics Center, Civ3 Duel Zone, Civilization Gaming Network, and Gamecatcher in one game, and Apolyton, Civilization Design Group (CDG), the People's Army of the Ladder, the Batrachos (French team) and the German Webring Team in the other.

In Game 1, Team Apolyton, the Ladderites (PAL), and the Batrachos claimed victory. Apolyton and PAL, in a joint effort, successfully invaded and defeated CDG, evicting them from the continent the three shared. Apolyton, PAL, and the Batrachos (themselves on a faraway continent) then joined in alliance, causing the German Webring to concede defeat. CDG, meanwhile, having escaped to a fleet of galleys, has decided to play on for two more turns to in order to make an interesting point.

Apolyton, PAL, and the Batrachos will survive the first elimination round, now that the other two teams have (almost) been eliminated.

Meanwhile, Game 2 saw a far more interesting military end. The Gamecatcher team was taken out early by an invasion by the Civ3 Duel Zone and CGN, while the CivFanatics went down after it too was invaded jointly by the three other remaining teams. The Civ3 Duel Zone, Civ3 Brazil, and CGN also move on the final round.

The UN Forum is always a good place to stop by for more information, as well as for some of the current and past public discussion on the various games.

This is where we leave off today - the battle royale of the six survivors is coming, in a game that will mark one of the final triumphant hurrahs of Civilization 3, as Civ4's release comes closer. Team Apolyton is always looking for new members to join the battle - sign up today, and take part in Apolyton's fight to be the best! - Octavian X

TEAM APOLYTON BATTLES ON
(19 August 2004, 18:51 | C3C IDG: Apolyton Team | 3 comments) Team Apolyton is continuing to compete in the Civ3 Conquests Inter-Site Democracy Game. We apoligize for the lack of updates to the public, given that we're concentrated on winning the game.

We can, though, inform you as to our general situation, as of the curent save date, 1325 B.C. We are still, of course, in the first round of this game. None of the teams in our game have been eliminated.

On August 11, Apolytonians elected BigFree to serve for a term of three months as a consul, one of the trio of leaders and turnplayers of Apolyton. BigFree joins veteran Consuls Togas and Octavian X, both of whom have served since the beginning of ths game. Deputy Consul Kloreep fills in when one of the three despots just has to take a vacation on the State Curragh.

The Apolytonian government also consists of several Ministers, who report directly to the consuls: Minister of the Interior GodKing and his Deputy Minister krill keep the cities and workers in order; Minister of Defense/Supreme Military Command/Warmonger Extraordinare UberKruX commands the nation's forces; Minister and Deputy of Foreign Affairs conmcb25 and Beta (respectively) keep in touch with our rivals, and Minister of Information Kloreep ensures that we actually know that these people are in our government.

That is, of course, all we can tell you. The only way to can learn more is to acutally join us. Drop by our sign-up thread for more details. - Octavian X
