The Chilling Axis Treachery

A tale of betrayal played on the ultimate WW2 scenario with the American-Euro map. As the ruthless and dictatorial leader of axis Germany during a huge WW2 scenario, I knew the merits of "might is right". With 50+ tanks of 2 types and too many stormtroopers to be counted, you could say I was confident. First off I wanted to try and build a strong Civ base first and then maybe add a few provinces to my axis empire. This would change the course of history I know, but delay WW2, why not?
After ordering my cities to build engineers and freights, I called on England to probe for and alliance, but no! Paranoid UK declared war, activated her alliance with France and the game was afoot!

November 1940. A swift Panzer incursion into French territory was in order so I pounded the Gaul Capital with tanks, bombers, artillery and soon Paris and it's Eiffel Tower were axis controlled! (with minimal losses). The mop up was easy, the French government escaped to Baghdad. Next the dictator turned his inhuman eyes to London and Glasgow, after the initial 'Battle of Britain' the air force softened up London for the tanks to move in. After much partisan vamping, the UK Capital was under axis garrison. Obviously seeing the increase in my Civ's power the US soon called on me and demanded 1000 gold! I sneered at their demand and they declared war, it was now April 1941. The USA controlled a city in the southern Alps called Linz, I figured if I could master this small town the yanks would back off, My heavy tanks pounded and I was surprised at the stiff fight put up by the US Mech. Inf. They could not fight forever and the stormtroopers soon moved in. America called me and asked for a cease-fire! Har! I thought!

November 1941. Winter is not the best time to invade Russia as more than one historical dictator has found out. But these thing don't matter in Civ2. By annoying the Ivan's I soon had them at war with me and the Panzer units made their move. Smashing through Warsaw, Minsk and Leningrad, the accursed USSR put up quite scraps, but one by one cities fell, then Moscow, Gorky, Perm and then Baku and Orenburg. With the loss of industrial Orenburg, most of the tanks disappeared and Stalin knew he was sunk. The remaining task was to conquer isolated towns this was more or less the end of this campaign. The Axis dictator was pleased! If he could have promoted his little GIF tanks and fighters, he would have!

June 1943. The Axis States now cover Europe. The dictator now wants Spain to join our empire! The Spanish put up quite a fight, but with cities all off Europe reinforcing my war production, they ain't got a chance. Madrid is mine Spain shall build transports for my next stage of the Axis's plan of unspeakable evil!

April 1944. Our research for the Atom bomb is reaching a critical stage. In this scenario you need to research: Atom Theory-Mass Production-Rocket-Heavy Water-Propellants-Nuke Fission-Rocket Missiles to get the deadly bomb (also build the atom bomb project). We stole the advances of Heavy Water and Mass Prod from the silly USA, saving our Fascist Government some precious research time.

June 1945. All captured cities are engaged in building and upgrading a huge fleet of battleships, subs, fighters, bombers, the new jet interceptors (me262s) and the secret weapons the Atom bomb! soon the plan will carried out. The map is in two halves: left side of Amer-Euro map is now occupied by USA after it took over the Mex. Republic and Cuba. The right side is the Axis states, all cities are that distinctive Jerry Blue colour!

April 1946. After some delays for last minute units, (commandos and helicopters that I just added to the war fleet). My grand war fleet of 30 battleships, 10 super battle ships, the flagship (a super powerful naval unit), 10 carriers with jets bombers and 40 Atom bombs (one for every US city), 28 transports full of tanks troops and special forces, 50+ destroyers and Subs. We set sail for USA and destiny!

June 1946. I still believe at last minute the USA smelled what was about to happen. They sent a mighty fleet to meet me, loads of battleships, destroyers, planes and subs. One more turn and we would be in position along the East Coast for our Vestung Atomika Krieg Amerika! November 1946. American was still in a peace treaty with the Axis, but not for long, in a horrid betrayal the German carriers unleashed the lethal atom bombs on every US city in one turn, American military potential was crippled! While my war fleet successfully engaged and destroyed the US fleet, finishing with a huge battle between the two rival Navy Flagships, The axis lethiathan won! With this crushing attack, the transports landed in NY, Washington DC, Atlanta and Miami...

June 1947. With the USA under control by the dictator, you could say this war is wrapped up. Our tanks and brave men are hounding the accursed RAF in Canada, but the UK fools will fall soon. Mexico's remaining cities are putting up a struggle but the sheer amount of steel ranged against them will finish this war soon. I know my actions will not make me look like a Civ hero, but the victor always decides what is good and bad and I am in the position to say that any Civ-head love the feeling of being on that winning drive. The Axis will rule for as long as a 1000 years, or until tea time!
