APOLYTON/ACSR NEWS
The history of Apolyton Civilization Site Radio (ACSR) dates back to February, 2000 when in that month the first audio broadcast was posted on-site under the title Apolyton News. ACSR's flagship program, ACSR News, became the successor to Apolyton News as of ACSR's launch date. Apolyton News, also hosted by Quick, had a successful run from January-July, 2000 (SEASON 1) and then again from January-April, 2001 (SEASON 2).

In response to the growing demand and interest in the station, ACSR launched ACSR Daily on July 29th, 2001 which offered the previous or most recent day's worth of news in an audio format. ACSR News, which later morphed into ACSR Weekly, was cancelled in March 2002. Beginning in the same month, ACSR staff announced that the station would not broadcast during the months of April or December until further notice.

SEASON 2 (January-April 2001)
All ten episodes that made up the second and final season of this series have been successfully archived throughout the years. By 2002, few if any of these installments were still available for listening live on-demand: this would not change until September 2006.

Hosted by then Apolyton CS Co-Owner/Administrator Daniel "DanQ" Quick, these editions are available for streaming at 24kbps. Originally served in RealAudio format, as was all of ACSR's offerings for much of its history to date, they have since been converted into the more conventional and accessible MP3 format.

SEASON 1 (January-July 2000)
All twenty episodes that made up the inaugural season of this series have been successfully archived throughout the years. By 2001, few if any of these installments were still available for listening live on-demand: this would not change until September 2006. The theme song "Leo's Workshop" from Civilization II's soundtrack was not introduced here until the sixth episode released in early March 2000; it would remain in place through the remainder of this show's run, but it's preface audio would be nixed after the conclusion of this season.
