ACSR MAILBAG
In an effort to increase and profile audience interaction, Apolyton Civilization Site Radio (ACSR) introduced ACSR Mailbag in March 2002. Several emails sent to the Apolyton administration during a given week were read aloud "on-air" as were their originally written responses; names and handles were masked to provide a measure of privacy. Dismal response prompted its cancellation four months later after only five editions were produced for and during its first month of existence.
In September 2005, this show was resurrected with a slight formatting change. Many earlier shows included a 'retro' segment featuring clips from the series' first season. While it bested its original production run by almost double, it ran for just nine shows before being cancelled yet again as a result of not attracting a large enough audience. Since the launch of ACS' official podcast (and now podcasts), PolyCast, in October 2006, its recurring 'Mailbag' segment serves this purpose; as a separate entity, Mailbag is permanently defunct.
