8 Years Celebration STAFF VIEW: GRAMPHOS
What a year, I can't ever remember a year were so mush
have turned out to get out of my hands before. I seem to constantly
miss deadlines and neglect responsibilities, not only here, but also in
my real life. I've not been this inactive on Apolyton ever before. My
university studies are half done, and I've been combining studies with
Civilization IV testing, Apolyton duties and other commitments, as well
as some other games now and then for over a year now.
For the Civilization community the past year has been ever so
interesting. The release of Civilization IV brought Civilization and
modding to a complete new level, especially with the 1.61 patch and the
release of the SDK. I have so many things I want to do with it, but it
seems to be a long time to when I'll have enough spare time to dwell
into the SDK and do major modifications of the game. Other than
community mods and scenarios Warlords has just been released adding to
the Civilization experience even more. To that came the release of
CivCity Rome, which I still consider if I have time to buy and play.
I'm interested in trying it out, but know that I already have enough
games around that I eager to play, but find no or very little time to
do so.
An interesting addition to my Apolyton involvement, which probably is
the one that I've been doing best at fulfilling, is voice acting of
Virtu and Trigger in Age of Nations. Somehow I always find time to
record the lines on deadline, regardless of how mush other work I have
at the time.
For the future things are as unclear as ever about what will happen.
Many possible commitments are pending and I'm working hard to schedule
my time for the near future. I'm trying to get time to get things on
the right track again as Civ4 Files Manager before school and other
commitments start again.
With this sign of life I fall back into the shadows again for some time
more, but keep your eyes and ears open for other signs of me. I'm still
around and I hope to regain my postability in the future.
