Why: Kai "ColdFever" Fiebach, owner/operater of fansite Civ3.de, served as leader of a project to translate CivIII's native English text into German. The project came to a screeching halt when Infogrames (now Atari), then publisher and owner of the Civilization franchise, forced Fiebach to sign cease and desist order in the face of a high potential for further legal action.
