Hosting Program

In an ongoing effort to support non-commercial, third-party Civilization-based endeavours with good ideas but no resources to grow, Apolyton Civilization Site created and continues to maintain a comprehensive hosting program. Participation in this program incurs no financial cost for the operators of these sites profiling their work, though there is an optional no ad-serving fee ($48US/year or $20US/quarter) payable through PayPal.

Those sites that meet our hosting criteria will benefit from:
1) Own subdomain (sitename.apolyton.net); full, unlimited support for leased top-level domains
2) Near unlimited disk space (in excess of 250MB with permission)
3) Near unlimited bandwidth (in excess of 500GB/month with consideration)
4) PHP/mySQL Support
5) 5 POP3-based email accounts (optionally more with permission)
6) SFTP access
7) A vBulletin powered forum with in-house forum exposure
8) News management system intregration powered by Keld software (Archive supported)
9) Use of Apolyton-licensed Apogee Essence Content Management sSstem
10) Friendly and Efficient Technical Support (email, instant message (Google Talk/Skype), private message)

Hosting criteria for sites:
1) Be active, or comprehensively archived, online and have some kind of positive recognition within the Civ community (exceptions granted for recognized ideas behind site).
2) Are frequently updated
3) Offer useful, unique content: generally speaking, must offer something new in content or structure
4) Are well designed (aesthetics and (X)HTML/PHP coding)
5) Serve 468x60 ads as directed by Apolyton administration above scroll on all publicly accessible pages
